Do you use baking soda for any cleaning jobs around the house?

I don't but my mom does. I think she uses it to clean the sink. She mixes it with something else. This is one reason why I think women are better chemists than men.

I use arm and hammer washing soda to make my laundry soap, but not regular baking soda. I use baking soda to brush my teeth, it's safer then fluoride filled toothpaste and makes me teeth white...

Baking soda instead of abrasive cleaners, baking soda and vinegar in the drains. Baking soda in the cat tray. Washing soda in the wash, but I used to use baking soda in the wash. I think there are some beauty applications for it as well.

I actually have never used baking soda, i only use baking soda to cook, put in the fridge and pantry to keep things smelling good, but other than that i use cleaning products that are used for certain things. I use windex for glass products and use granite cleaner for granite tops and i use wood floor cleaning for the woods floors in the house and so on. I dont add it to laundry detergent because laundry detergent is fine the way it comes.

No i don't use baking soda to clean my house. I know it's very strong and clean the things very easily but it also for health specially for hand. That's why i don't use it. I do use other stuff to clean my house.
Have a good day!

Baking Soda is wonderful for cleaning and has many other uses.
I use it to clean my bathroom and showers, mixing it with white vinegar to make a paste. It does a great job!
I have to clean my bathrooms this way because I only have tank water (no town water), so I have to be careful what I let go down the drain. I cannot use bleach, etc.
I also put a sprinkle of baking soda when I am cooking any green vegetables - it helps retain the colour! My mother-in-law taught me that one and it works!
I've never used it for cleaning my teeth (what does it taste like?), but I can see that it would make your teeth nice and white!
I've never used it for laundry - do you use it instead of laundry powder, or in addition to laundry powder?

I use baking soda to clean hard water off of things. We have really hard water here in San Antonio and it tends to cause calcium deposits on things. Mixing baking soda and vinegar helps to get rid of the calcium deposits. I also use it to clean stains off the sink. I do the same thing, mix baking soda and vinegar and scrub the stains. It works really well!
