I have a cold. A sneezy one and it is driving me mad. I go out and the air helps to clear my head and when I come in again "Atishoo"! I am fed up with sneezing. Does anybody have any anti-sneezing remedies please? What do you find controls your sneezles?

Claritin is great for sneezing! But it is expensive so I buy the generic version. The main ingredient is Loratadine. It also helps to take a drink of water, a few swallows and the sneezing sometimes goes away.

I don't know Claritin we may call it something else here. I do drink water though and yes, that works sometimes.

Bless you! I don't suffer from spring allergies, but my husband has been walking around sneezing for about a week now. He'll sneeze 15 or 20 times in a row. Not funny, he's pretty sore when he get done, and has been taking antihistamines to help. Whether you have a cold, or allergies, I hope you're feeling better soon! Here's some reading while you are waiting: http://www.public.iastate.edu/~aslagell/spcm212/sneezeout.html

I can't think of a damn thing that controls sneezes. The best thing for me to do is sit here with a bunch of kleenex in my hand (or tonight some leftover napkins from the cafe) and try and catch them as they come out. LOL I don't have a cold, per se, but I have been sneezing all week, and it's really starting to bug me.

My, what a polite little sneeze you have. Since you're not sneezing outside but inside, either clean your house or stay outside!

I actually take allergy tablets when I have a cold. The same histamines are in play and the allergy tabs do take the edge off the sneezing and runny nose while allowing the cold to play itself out. I sneeze daily if I don't take them, so I appreciate their existence, believe me!

This time of year most of my sneezes comes from pollen. I find doing a nasal rinse with a Nettie Pot to be quite effective!!!

If it will STOP you from sneezing, does it really matter what it looks like??? I was hesitant the first time I used it as it made me feel like I might drown. My Chiropractor insisted that I give it a try & after the first use, I was HOOKED!!! Anytime I feel a cold coming on, I just rinse out my nose & POOF...it's all gone!!! Anyway, I would think the idea of torture would draw you to it!!!!

Whenever I'm suffering from some nasty cough or cold, i just stop taking things cold like cold water. I drink lots warm stuffs like soups and tea. Oh yeah especially ginger tea, it helps me get rid of the cold. Maybe you should try it too. Get well soon..
