Happy Day Today

WOw, I am really excited because today it's my day off. Atlast my Boss give me a 1 day off. I always complain to him that I need to take off even single day because I felt I am going to become sick if I will not give myself a rest. Last week I did a small mistakes related to my work because I am tired already and I am lazy to made my daily routine. Instead I skip some steps in checking rooms. With that reason, my Boss told me...it's time for you to take rest.
After work, I take a napped and now I am still online doing some of my online stuff. I want to enjoy my whole day and spent more time to sleep today. How I wish I can have day off every week.

Do you work everyday of the week? If so I think you are well deserved a rest maybe even 2 days in a row next time to recoup. I only work part time right now so I have plenty time off just don't get to do what I want always for various reasons.

I work everyday my friend, not only normal 8 hours but almost everyday 3-5 hours overtime. I seems that all my energy was gone. Sleeping is not enough for me everyday because I did some online programs also that makes my life worthy.
Better you have alot of time to relax than to work. It's hard to have regular job although it will help alot not only for myself but also for my family.

You certainly are very busy and indeed deserving of more than a day off. I hear you, we all have to do things to keep the bills paid and everyone fed. I hope you do get more time off one day a week I don't think would be too much. Take it easy if possible.

I spend enough time today sleeping and go out with a friend to have a dinner. Atleast I saw some people around not like staying here in our hotel compound always saw the same face everyday.
I have a book, 135 pages that I need to read this today because it's part of my job and my Boss give this since last week and until I didn't read even a single page. My Boss asked me last 3 days ago and I told him I read several pages, I was lie to him.

It's nice when a boss is kind and generous to an employee. sometimes authority gets a bad rap, especially when we want something we are not sure we'll get. getting a nice reward is a welcome change. @obe212003 (2299)

have a nice day... everybody needs a day-off, and i am quite pretty sure that every employer should give their employee day-offs as mandated by law in most countries... anyways you deserve your day-off, spent it well...

I signed a contract:
8 hours daily - but I work more than 8 hours a day as overtime
1 day off every week - no day off since 6 months
off on national holiday - always cancelled
Although I am compensated in all of them but I think money is not important because our body need rest. If you are sick might be you will spend more money than you earn during your work.

if i were on your shoes, i would be probably in the hospital! lol! Even God rested on the seventh day after creation... Probably you're a good candidate for promotion for dedication to your work. Anyways, you really need to have time off as your can't work at 100% without the needed rest from stress from work.

Great. I hope you were able to enjoy your day and also get you some much deserve rest and relaxation. We work all of the time too so we know how it feels to have or not have a day off.

hi julyteen well its sure time you had a day off. Where you are working I m ean in that country do they have any labor laws like we do here forcing employers to give employees two days off a week?Here in the USA we have two days off a week as thats the labor law. we can be asked to do over time but we still must be given two days per week off. that way employees are rested and employers see that they really do better work with two days off a week.You are in Arabia I believe so I have no idea what their laws are or are not. but maybe your employer will see you do better work when you are rested.

For government employees they are given 2 days off every week but for private company only one day off but because of staff shortage our company don't have any choice except to utilize the existing associates. I am paid twice everytime my off cancelled but I don't care about the compensation, I need to take rest every week. My Boss said " as of the moment he cannot give me off every week because no one can handle my works when I am out". I am very tired already so I highly convince him that I will take off even every month. No one can give good work performance if our body is tired. He agreed to me because the more tired I am the more inconsistent of my work would results.

Hi july teeen: I know what you mean. It's good to have a job but it's also very important to take care for ourselves. Our health must be our first priority and then it comes our job obligations.

you mean to say you literally work everyday?? That's tough! I hope you're well compensate for that, given that you're abusing your body so much for not having proper rest.
I really do hope you enjoy your day-off. Make the most out of it. Sleep. Sleep and sleep! YAY!

So far, I am compensated on it but I don't need more money, I want to take rest every week but because of staff shortage we are utilize to do some extra working hours which is not good specially if your work is related to customer service like working in a hotel.

Oh gosh yes you need a day off once a week and by all means do take care today and rest up as much as possible, so that the day does not slip through and you not feel like it was a day off.
Sleep sounds like a great idea to me.
