News corp. is being investigated by the FBI to see if they used any of their deplorable tactics they used in the UK including hacking the cell phones of victims of the 9/11 attacks. I was SHOCKED that no one here posted anything about this, but I am sure that all of our right wing friends were just debating on WHO would post it. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/07/14/fbi-news-corp-investigation_n_898653.html

This is about time. Rupert Murdoch was on cloud number 9 with his news corp. He thought he could use blackmail to influence politicians. Well, I am not someone who gets brainwashed by his Fox news. But what really bothers me is that he always betrays the country he does his business with. He was thinking he turned into a God with the channels he released. It is time now for him to realize that he is just an ordinary human. I am sure there is more struggle coming up for him.

Just wait and watch, it is going to be the domino effect for Mr Murdoch. His media empire worldwide is going to be affected by this. I am actually enjoying every moment of his demise. Well, sometimes it is easy to buy cops and politicians with money. But how long? Karma can turn into a devil also.

Looks like someone is going to go down hard...and if they find they did do those horrible things here I hope people end up in jail...and not a posh country club jail either. I also hope the UK comes down hard on them too. This kinds of actions should never be overlooked or stood for. No matter who does it.

The sad part is that people in the UK knew of this years ago, but it only involved celebrities, and politicians. The people in the UK have only themselves to blame for this kind of reporting. They continued to buy the garbage that these guys put out, even after Diana was killed by these idiots they still bought the garbage supporting their tactics. But, now that regular people like themselves are being treated bad they are outraged? That is BS!!!!!!

It figures they would go after Murdoch while ignoring George Sorros's crimes. However, this allegation does warrant investigation, and if Murdoch really did it, then he deserves what he gets.

You are 100% correct Ted, I am sorry, I read it wrong. Funny how this guy resigned, I am sure he will take the fall instead of Murdoch. But, it will be interesting to see what happens.

"I was SHOCKED that no one here posted anything about this" I didn't because I generally post mostly on political and science topics. Although I am still looking at all of the info coming out. There are gonna be a lot of people in a lot of trouble over this, I'm sure. But I don't see what this has to do with politics.

X, the problem you have is that the person that ran News of the World, and knew about this " There is no evidence he tried to hide it or had anything to do with it. "X, don't you remember the Clinton years when we investigated ANYTHING and EVERYTHING?" What has Clintion got to do with this? "If this was the New York Times......." But it isn't. "I feel it is political due to who is involved," Then by your logic, everything dealing with anyone is a political issue.

X, the problem you have is that the person that ran News of the World, and knew about this did run the Wall Street Journal, and Dow Jones. "I suppose the FBI can investigate the parent corp if it wants, but there really is nothing to base any accusations on." X, don't you remember the Clinton years when we investigated ANYTHING and EVERYTHING? If this was the New York Times parent company MyLot would be filled with calls for investigations. You know that as well as I do. I feel it is political due to who is involved, would it make you feel better if I put in there his large donations to right wing organizations like the Republican Governors association, or the US "republican" chamber of commerce?

"There is no evidence he tried to hide it or had anything to do with it." X, he resigned less than a week after it became public. If he wasn't guilty then why would you act that way? The evidence is the fact that fell on the sword so fast it barely made it off his side. X, my point is that republicans love to investigate anything to do with democrats. Now that one of their main supports, and sources of money is in trouble, and you are trying to pass this off as nothing. I would expect this from the normal right wingers on here, but I expect more from you X. But, people do change!! "If this was the New York Times......." But it isn't. So, you are saying if it was YOU would start a post about this? I see you have been drawn to the dark side X.
