When I lived in Ohio I actually lived in the State Capital. I have lived in Illinois most of my life I have been to the Illinois State Capital city one time which is Springfield. There are a lot of museums there and you can visit Abraham Lincoln's home there. I recommend spending a day or two there if you are ever passing through Illinois. Have you been to or live in your state's capital? Do you recommend it as a travel location for people from other states?

Which of my states? I've lived in a few.
In Florida, I haven't been to the capitol. However, I also don't really consider Florida to be "my" state. I have, so to speak, been packing my bags since I got here.
I've been to the capitols of a number of other states, though. I've traveled a bit, and I plan to travel more. I have several states and Canadian provinces that I haven't made it to yet... not to mention numerous countries.

My state capital is in Austin, TX. I live about an hour and a half away from there. I have been there once. I took a tour of the state capital building and visited some of the museums. It is quite pretty there. I do recommend it as a travel location for people. I would recommend spending a day in Austin. It's a neat place!

I live in the capital of my state here in my country and I have to say that here don't have many things to visit. It's not a beautiful city, but it always have a lot of different type of shows, so, if you like music, is a good place.

The capitol of my state is Helena. It is one of the smallest towns in Montana. The town itself is not very impressive. Gas stations and Mcdonalds....yeah! The capitol building though reminds me of the white house and the interior is beautiful. In the front room they have a giant bronze statue of Sacajawea. The sculpture is gorgeous - the only drawback is the tax payers had to pay for it. The room where law is debated is filled with paintings that depict the Lewis and Clark expedition. For a history buff like me, it's exciting! :) As at kid my favorite part of the capitol buildings were the numerous snack bars on every floor. Mini cafes if you will.

Topeka is our state capitol I live in Kansas. The capitol building is domed and it is lovely. I know the high school choirs used to go perform there on occasion. It is neat, but like everywhere else security is much higher now. I went before 9/11. Topeka also has a zoo, and I am wanting to go to a museum on Washburn University campus before September 18 to see "The Art of the Brick" which is several pieces made entirely of Legos. The last job I had was a security job and I was working or training to work out of a company in Topeka.

I live in our states capital. Adelaide is the capital of south australia. I have lived here for over 20 years.
Adelaide is a very pretty city of just over 1 million people. We have a mediterrean climate. Adelaide is also the only captial city in australia not settled by convicts.
Among the many beautiful features here to visit, are magnificant beaches, whole class zoo, fauna wild life parks, am open range zoo, national parks, the museum, art gallery and historical buildings of great interest.
I would definitely recommend adelaide as a capital city worth visiting.

The capital of my province is just Guangzhou. I was born and grow up here. So I am quite familiar with my city. It is well-known for different delicious food. Here people enjoy eating. And when it is the time to have a meal, the restaurants will be quite crowded and this is so unbelievable.
I love China

I have live in Wisconsin all my life and I never seen the capital in Madison! It is sad! I never seem to have the money to travel anywhere! So I forget about the places I wish I could visit! Saving money for anything never goes as planned either!
I am a big disappointment in that area!!

My state capital here in the Philippines is Manila and I also live in Manila. Some of my relatives can't visit us here in Manila because the bus fares are too high so that we're the one going to the province instead of them.

I haven't been to my state capital but I think it would be kind of fun because it would be an interactive way to learn about my state

Greetings,
I was born in my state capital, Bombay (now Mumbai). It is called the New York of India. As this place never sleeps, its a place where people across India travels to with a dream of making it big. It also happens to be the capitol of Bollywood (Indian film industry). Though its the most populated city in India but it never runs out of opportunities for everyone.
My would be wife is also from Mumbai. I visit mumbai like 6-8 times a year. :)

Yes, I live in the State Capital. It is a beautiful city, many places of interest for residents as well as for visitors. The Pacific coastline is very beautiful, and, as the weather permits, that is the region to enjoy spending the vacations too.
