One of my friends got taken to Spain, Portugal, Italy and Bulgaria when she was a child. My family took trips to France and I wished to go to other countries like my friend. My mom said that she wasn't able to afford it. Still I was very interested in different places in the world. I knew much about the other countries and couldn't wait to begin visiting them. Traveling to them is easy now I am an adult. Did you get to travel in your childhood? In your home country or overseas? Do you get to travel overseas know you are an adult?

As a child growing up in Romania,I traveled to different cities in Romania.then I started swimming.By age 13 I was part of the national team, and I started travelling with the team all over Europe to competitions. It really opened the horizon for me.Speaking 5 languages helped, and the travel helped develop my conversational skills,as well as my interest in geography, history, and other cultures.Since I left Romania,I lived in a couple of different countries, and I continue to travel when I am able.

Yes, I did travel but it is just within in the Philippines. I do recall that this was one of my memorable travel it's because it was a family travel. We went to Cebu for how many days. I really miss those days. How I wish that we can do it again now that we are old enough, but that would be impossible because my parents are now divorced.

My family often took road trips across the US or going from California to Alaska by way of the Alaska Highway back in the days before they straightened it. I just remember many times getting carsick from the windy roads and stuff like that. I also remember when we first moved up there in 1970 and living out in North Pole (14 miles from Fairbanks) and having a very large yard with a 1/4 mile long driveway. I did a lot more traveling after growing up, but it still wasn't easy since I still had limited funds. I can't wait for my next trip to Asia!

I have traveled more in my child hood and teens then I have since I been in America. We used to go to Italy, and Yugoslavia for summer vacations till I was 7 and after my parents divorced we always went to Austria for summer. When I was 18 I went to Paris with friends and on the weekends we just used to alway get on a train and travel to different cities. Those were the days

Yes I did, but it was just domestic. Aside from moving to big cities a couple of times, my mom was into buy and selling. So we'd go to different cities to buy a few stuff, and sell to another city. It was really more of a business trip, but we did get to see the sights.

Yes dear, I travelled a lot of places in my childhood and I can still remember those some places where I had visited with my parents. I am very thankful to my parents and I think I am a very lucky child too in this world to travel with my parents in my childhood.

We traveled in the U.S. and when I was 14, my parents took us on a 3 week trip to Europe. A week in England - they had some old friends living there then - then 3 days in Vienna, 4 days in Rome, 4 days in Zurich and 3 days in Paris. I loved Rome and Zurich, well, I really loved London too, and I've been back there twice. I love the scenery in Zurich and the ruins in Rome!

I did get the opportunity to travel, when I was a kid. I was lucky enough to do quite a bit of it, actually. I was able to travel to several different places in the US. I've also been to England and Scotland. And I'm glad that I've traveled to different places in my own country, Canada.

When I was a child my family often travelled to France. It is one of my father's favourite countries, and in the summer months my parents liked to drive around from place to place and visit many different parts of France. Sometimes we went camping and sometimes we stayed in hotels. My brother and I always had a good time and we met children from many other countries who also spent their holidays in France with their families. One of my classmates often travelled to Asia with her parents, I was really jealous at her and I asked my parents if we couldn't visit Asia, too, but my parents said no, they wanted to stay in Europe. Now I am an adult and I going to pays for my own trip to Asia

I never traveled much, both in my childhood, and in more recent times. It happened rarely do, in childhood small traveling with my family always in my country (Italy). Then there were the usual school trips. There were, however, in recent years made ??two trips a little more distant. In 2003 I went to Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), but just for the Easter holiday last year, I spent two weeks in company of a dear friend of mine in Spain.

I never got to travel much when I was a kid. All the trips we took were to visit relatives and it was never further than a few hours by car. I never visited another country until I was an adult and even that was not a major trip. Me and a few friends drove to Canada for a weekend, but I live in the USA and it was only a two hour car trip. Still, it was fun.

I never (and still haven't) traveled overseas in my childhood, but I did travel within the United States. I grew up in New Jersey, so we'd go to the beach in the summertime. Throughout the year we'd also visit relatives in Virginia and a few other places along the east coast.
