I find saving money to be really really difficult and daunting task. Oh, but I am wondering to any of you who have credit cards - particularly with Capital One - can you make more than ONE payment a month?
I know some companies penalize you for doing such a thing. But I'm curious because then I wouldn't try to have to pool all the money I wanted to put toward it until the first of the month (because normally it's all gone by then LOL)..
Can you pay a credit card bill more than once a month? Have you?

I am not sure how capital one card works, but I have done that a few times. I would call capital one and ask them. Each company has a different policy. I know how it is when you are on a budget and are trying to get out of debt. You want to pay things off a soon as possible. I am hoping to pay off my old debt as well

I've never had a card with them. I do know from other cards that I've had that I can pay when I want, atleast the minimum (total payments or more), or I can break it down and make weekly/pay period payments so it's easier on my budget. If you can break down the payments and make more than one a month say 200/2 or 200/4 every lil bit you pay earlier you pay less interest on as the interest accrues daily.

I have. Although I have a Mastercard and a Visa, neither through Capital One, so I don't know how it works for Capital One.
making multiple payments each month irritated my husband though, so we just opened another bank account and then once a month transferred the money that was in it to credit cards and other bills.

I am not with Capital One, but I do pay my credit card bill twice a month sometimes. It's actually not for anything, but for my peace of mind. I feel a lot better when I've paid a credit card bill. But even twice better if I pay 2 times a month.
I don't understand why they would charge you for paying a second time though. You should ask!
