Sometimes, I just get tired of all the BS!

I’m at work, and today is just that kind of day. I feel like there’s just a lot of BS going around. I don’t know why people couldn’t just do their jobs. Or why not keep things simple. It seems like some people can’t do a thing without emitting a few BS.
Sometimes I just get tired of it.
Do you find a lot of BS in your surroundings too?
Do you get tired of it? I’m all BS’ed out!
Do you ever wonder why there’s a few people around who can’t seem to help themselves and throw some BS?
How do you put up with it?
Maybe I’m just having an anxiety attack.

I'm a non BS zone. Once you show yourself as a liar to me I distance my true self from you. I go gangster rules " keep your friends close , your enemies closer." But luckily there are no BSers around me.All you can do is your job. If you are the supervisor of these a$$holes then just turn around and say to yourself , " No bonus for you!" Oops. I'm sorry I used my potty mouth. I forgot that you hate that! Hang in there.

I wish I could do that Sarah!
Unfortunately, I don't have a say about giving bonuses. Although I could prepare employee evaluations, it is still my boss, the owner who decides who gets a little extra at the end of the year.
Maybe I should learn how to be a gangster!

Personally I work with a couple of people that just make you wonder sometimes. These are always usually the ones to point fingers at others, but yet at the same time not doing their part and usually found making excuses. Since I work for a Cab company answering phones and helping people get cabs, someday's it really seems like everything is truly unfair. We have people who tend to turn off their phones spending a lot of time talking and leaving the slack to everyone else, or those who are walking around all the time but somehow still take 200 calls more than someone else? Personally it becomes quite annoying and many times makes me want to SCREAM.

Well, many times it is the people that seem to always be getting away with everything that always makes you question things. How often are these also the ones always Praised from the Boss for the job well done, and never made by any of the Supervisors etc. to sit down, or turn on their phone, etc. They are usually the ones allowed to continue to do as they please and no one ever seems to notice.

This past week I've had a discussion with my boss, who's also the owner of the company. We talked about a couple of people who are exactly just like you mentioned, the first ones to point fingers at others. We thought they really need to be let go.
Thanks KrauseHome!

Oh yes...there are those days. I think there is always the BS to deal with...some days it can just wear on you more than others. I think that most people want to do a good job but there are those few that it seems just want to test you or push you to see how far they can.

It's nice to hear/read optimism from you Jen!
Although I sometimes doubt it, I do believe that most people just want to do a good job. It's unfortunate that there are just others that are just full of BS. And they sometimes drag the good ones with them.
Thanks.

It's like Old MacDonald's farm: here a BS, there a BS, everywhere a BS!
In a work situation, there's always some kind of BS going on - it's inevitable, I think! So I always thought that when I left work, all that BS would be gone. Well, I found that BS is still everywhere - it just shifts to other groups that surround you at the time. For instance, there are some certain parents I have to "deal" with at school or at the Y . . . our kids play together, and as I'm there, I have no choice but to deal with their BS. I tend to be diplomatic about things . . . I won't call them on their BS . . . but you bet I'm not going to give into their BS. The BS does get tiring - but it seems we can't control these people who BS there way through everything. As hard as it is, don't let the BS get to you personally!!

Maybe some of the people just don't get it. They may be talking about something really important to them, but it just comes off as BD to people listening to them. Or maybe, they just think it's important, yet it's actually nothing.
It does get hard to get away from all of it.
Thanks much!

I know what you mean! Sometimes people are just so lazy and put up such a fuss about their jobs. They really should just be thankful they even have a job and are making money.
When people around me are acting in a way I don't like, I try distancing myself from them and dealing with them as little as possible.

Yeah, who doesn't get tired of BS? I get it from my customers all the time. Had a guy come in for the past 2 days in a row. He has been trying to stop a $2,000 bill from going through. Both times he came in to check and see if it was still going through or not. Both times I informed him that it was. He kept asking questions like "How long does it normally take"? I informed him that I did now know, but our personal banker would be capable of answering any questions he had. Of course he wasn't interested in seeing the personal banker.
So today he comes in and it's more of the same. He asked again "How long does it take?", I said I don't know, he needs to talk to the PB.. and he says "Well, what DO you know?". Then I find out he cancelled the payment through that company, yet he's blaming us that the funds are still on hold for that company. He left saying how much he hates our bank.
Ok, not necessarily BS.. but still, uncalled for rudeness towards me and the bank, and neither of us deserve it. It's not the bank's fault this company is still holding his funds. It's the company's fault it's taking so long, not ours, and I told him to go to the PB so it's not my fault I can't answer any of his questions.
I just get tired of people taking their bad attitudes out on me!

It's funny how some people hone it to us, and spread their BS specially when weren't having a good day in the first place. It just makes the day or the situation more frustrating.
I guess it's part of the job for you kat, as you are in the frontlines of customer service. Hope you get used to it! Or learn to ignore the ones which are the most BS!
Thanks for dropping by.

At work i feel there are alot of BS but everyday i deal with it. Yesterday i knew today wasnt going to be good becasue running around town yesterday i saw one of the guys going home early from a job and not understanding why he didnt go to another job so i called him and asked and then he didnt even know about it so it was done today and the people called early this morning wondering why no one was there yesterday and well my boss had totally forgot about it. So from now on i have to stay in the office and really cant leave early because of it. If i stay in the office things get done but if im out running around town doing things for myself things wotn get done. So my errands and things have to be done on the weekend so i dont have to deal with the BS at work LOL.

I know what you mean about things not getting done when you're not around, or on top of things. Some people just don't care.
As great as your job is, being responsible for a lot of things, it must also be really stressful. I don't envy you in that regard.
Thanks for dropping by.

Well, my friend i guess you are just getting paranoid with those people that gives a lot of BS. Maybe you should just don't mind them or distance yourself from them.
Sometimes though, we are drive to our brink by some people that gives us a lot of BS. When that happens, it's just right that we have to deal with them with a harsh word, so they will know that we cannot tolerate them anymore.

There is that gangster! I need you around for more than a nasty instructor!
