I enjoy Jean M Auel, the Earth's Children series. I have read them numerous times. She has a way with words that makes you feel as if you are a part of the story.

Wow! I knew there was something that I liked about you!
I love Jean Auel! I got so into her books a few years back, right before "The Shelters of Stone" came out that I got involved in an internet group and help to organize the first actual summer meeting that was held by her fans. I've lost touch with them since as I simply don't have the time to invest in it, but I still love the books.
I even had my own web site, which I finally deleted a couple of months ago. It was the "Earths Children Web Ring"!

I don't tend to read much, well before the internet I read tonnes of books, took after my nan, but now I'm too busy on the computer etc... One book I do read again and again is Harry Potter, I know but I am a big kid at heart and just love the stories they really appeal to me, witchcraft and fantasy. The first book Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone (probably named differently in America) but that was a great book, it was an escape, just to dive into the book and escape to a world of pure fantasy.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone over here. I love those stores as well and have gone back and re-read them so many times I've lost count. I go through them again each time a new book is coming out to immerse myself in the story so that I can really enjoy the new ones.

I know this is going to sound weird but I have a lot of books (I mean a lot like over 500) and I have read all of them at least 5 times. I never get fed up with a book and can continue reading them again and again and again. I love Enid Blyton Books most of all. Although they are children's books, they are what gave me a love for reading and so i read them time and again.

Yes..I like the book "The Faraway Tree" by Enid Blyton..I know I'm all grown up now and shouldn't be reading kids' books..but this is one is a big favourite and enjoy it every single time I read it. I dunno why..but I guess the inner child in me feels satisfied:)

I still love to go back and read the Laura Ingalls Wilder books! There's nothing wrong with revisiting your childhood favorites!

The book I have given to more people than I like to think about is Enid Blytons "The Enchanted Wood" .. it's about 3 children who move to the countryside .. at the back of their house is a wood and at the heart of the wood is the magic Faraway Tree ...
You see if you climb the tree you'll find all sorts of little people are living in the tree .. and at the very top of the tree is a cloud .. and when you go up the ladder into the cloud it's a different country everyday
It's just the most wonderful book .. full of amazing tales and wonderful lands .. I've never met a child yet who isn;t enthralled by it .. nor an adult who if they tell the truth has not been able to put the book down until they;ve got to the last page ..
It's pure clean magical fun .. and who could resist the Slippery Slip ... wonderful ..

The only books I don't read over are ones I didn't like in the first place. But, for one particular book, I've read Little Women many times since I was a child.

Yes.... Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach. It is a short story that can be read easily in an hour or two. It is an uplifting story and I have probably read it over 20 or so time throughout my life. Why be ordinary when you can attain perfection at something that makes you happy?

for me i've never read a book twice. i've only read a book all the way through page for page once. that was The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares she wrote a sequel to it called The Second Summer of the Traveling Pants and a new one not in stores until Tuesday that i have not read but i do plan on it. i couldnt hardly put that book down and i never read anything. i hate reading. so it was surprising to see i got through the whole book.

If you like science-fiction and comedy, I think that you might agree that some of the best books ever are Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. Some people may have heard of the Hitchhiker's Guide because there was an American made version of the story a year or three ago, but I personally haven't seen it. I have read the books in the series over and over, though, and have heard the original radio plays and *love* the British television series that was originally based on the books. I also love Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. He does for fantasy/humor what Douglas Adams does for sci-fi/humor. Check these authors out if you are interested in either! I also highly recommend the Red Dwarf books and the TV series! It's also British, but has been aired on PBS here in the states quite a bit! ^_^
