I’ve just been reading an article about a pair of twin sisters who married a pair of twin brothers. This happened back in the 70’s.
Not only did they marry but they had a double wedding, both sets getting married on the same day...

I am rewriting the Discussion that was deleted last week...
I was in my teens and 20s in the 60s and 70s; and I never would have guessed that we would have the advancements in technology, medicine, etc. that we have today.
What...

If you can't think of "great", a good movie is better than nothing.
I was just thinking of the movie, "Le Jour Se Leve" and think it's an independent movie from the 1930s, because it stands out. It starts at the present with some...

Originally released in 1975, Landslide is probably one of the few songs of Fleetwood Max that I remember clearly and I love the message of this one.

It came to my attention the first time the pic of the bar did not load, so I'm trying this again. I snapped this picture yesterday when I went to get a bite, I actually sat at the bar waiting for my food.
Anyway I thought I...

I had to post this meme because this is 100% me.
I was in my 20s in the 70s; and now I'm in my 70s in the 20s...although mentally I still feel like I'm in my 20s! I definitely had much more fun in the 70s.
I know there are...

Does anyone else remember this song? ‘Toast’ by Streetband.
I don’t really remember it at the time it was apparently released (1979) because I didn’t really get the opportunity to listen to ‘pop’ music at that time, but somewhere...

Last Friday night (May 17th), my husband and I took a short road trip to see Earth, Wind and Fire. It was an outdoor show.
The weather was just perfect! It was so much fun to sing and dance to so many songs I grew up listening...

I skated through the 1970s and early 1980s listening to jazz and avoiding the pop music of the time since I did not like the BeeGees, Abba or any of the disco flavored stuff that was played endlessly on commercial radio.
Somehow...

I've lived through most of the 1980's, 1990's and the current decade. My favorite decade hands-down has been the 1980's.
This discussion was inspired by a few discussions I've seen talking claiming that things from the 1980's...

Are the glam 1970s your favourite decade? Or do you prefer the crazy 80s? Or the stylish swinging sixties? Or perhaps you prefer the pre-Rock decades, the 20s maybe, or the Roaring 40s? Perhaps you like the tough 90s; or even...

Back in the 1970s and '80s, I used to love listening to the radio, but I almost never listen these days. Do you still listen to the radio, and does the radio still excite you?
