Hi, i just wanted to know which is better for online transactions - visa or mastercard. I've been using MC as its easier with the ATMs, but haven't used visa cards yet. Can you advise me on this?

I am aware that I can use my Maestro card to withdraw from ATMs, and pay in shops in the US. However, what is the typical charge that I can expect if I chose to do this (it would only be for emergencies I think). Thanks.
