I'm watching Law and Order again.
When the episode Blast started, the girl mentioned about a classmate who collects boogers and then eats then later.
I know a kid is collecting them, but why?

I recently read a library book and on a few of the pages there were dried boogers on it! That's SO gross and we aren't talking about a kids book, this was like an adult book written by Nicholas Sparks. Ahhh! I can't believe anyone...

Why do they? Is it an impulse? I can understand if the "boogies" are interfering with your breathing and it's an emergency... but people do it when they are driving... why?
