Post-Doctoral Research Fellows/Visiting Scholars: The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. - The Department of Civil Engineering is inviting applications for five post-doctoral research fellow and visiting scholar positions in the area of (1) structural random vibration and finite element analysis; (2) statistical analysis and Bayesian inference; (3) data mining and pattern recognition; (4) statistical signal and image processing; (5) traffic flow theory and simulation, to begin on September 1, 2007. Graduate Research Assistantships
The Construction Engineering and Management Program at CUA is seeking highly qualified applicants for doctoral studies and for master’s studies beginning in Spring, Summer, or Fall 2007. Financial support will depend on availability of grant funding, departmental and program needs, and match with student qualifications.
Currently, one competitive graduate research assistantship including a full tuition waiver and a monthly stipend is available under a two-year research project funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) under the Principal Investigator Dr. Gunnar Lucko (lucko@cua.edu). Special desired qualifications and skills for successful applicants include:
