We are going to church later and my sister is in the bathroom; I will follow her after she finishes her bath.
The dogs are back inside the house. My son brings them out at 4 or 5AM for their rituals then I call them back in. Now...

Although I know what Kindle and Nook look like, I have never had either one. A co-worker told me that Kindle does not have illustrations. Thinking of all the information out there on how computers are bad for your eyes, it would...

Our dog Macy has found her resting nook, and this is the vintage chair in our living room.
The chair is one of the very first set of chairs and sofa that my parents had when they were starting a family. The chair is durable and...

I was wondering if anyone here had a Nook. There was no going back and forth and comparing between the two for me. I just bought the kindle without considering whether the Nook would be better.
I honestly don't know if Barnes...

I don't own an iPad and most of the writing I do on here is sent from a NOOK (the Barnes and Noble e-reader). I am not very technical but I was given this as a gift three years ago and use it for pretty much everything - except...

Yet another reminder to research before you freak out, it doesn't appear the Nook is being turned off, just apps for the Nook. I had read the Nook was being shut down, but I don't think from what I found on Barnes and Noble...

For me it depends on what the book is all about. For some fun reading, I prefer an e-reader like a kindle or a nook. I find it practical especially when will be traveling as I won't have to worry about lugging around the extra...

When it comes to reading books I prefer to read paperbacks or hardcovers as opposed to e-books. I love holding an actual book in my hands, turning its pages, and inhaling the aroma of a printed book, especially if it's old....

Lately, my book signings have been getting harder to do. It seems people are just reading like they used to or those that do read are owning e-readers like Kindle and Nook. I am an author and blogger and it's my business to watch...

I was reading my NOOK in bed this morning, when it suddenly froze and the screen went blank--not completely off, just a blue-ish tinge. I was SO upset--I have something like 75 books on it plus numerous games, email, word...

Well I have my kindle fire for 6 months now but I am having second thoughts about the nook tablet.I can get a nook tablet pretty easily because I get so many barns and noble gift cards and they can pay for a nook.I can give my...

I have two ereaders, a Nook and a new Kindle Fire. My nook doesn't have a back light but the Fire does. On both devices I can adjust the type size where even with less than perfect vision I can read both of them easily. There are...

I am enjoying my Nook. I have always enjoyed reading, but now with arthritis in my hands and wrists, it is sometimes painful to hold a hardback book and even a paperback. Add to that the collection of books piling up in my back...

I was reading an anthology of Star Trek short stories on my Nook. I was so shocked to see punctuation left out, left off of the end of sentences, and some really blatant typos! Whoever was the publisher/editor for that book did a...

I started a discussion about whether or not to get a Kindle or a Nook. I've been looking back and forth and decided I wanted a Nook because I can get it from our local Barnes and Nobles here in town. And then someone talked about...

I've just started looking into getting a Kindle. And then discovered there is Barnes and Nobles version, the Nook. They seem similar. I want one because it says it is easy to read and lightweight. Sometimes when reading a hardback...
