The Hobbit Animated Movie 1977 Rankin Bass This is one of my favourite animated movies of all time. Sure it is not as well made as the Disney/Pixar movies that are out now but you have to remember that this was made over 30 years ago. Another reason that I like it so much is that they really tried to stick to the original story of The Hobbit as much as possible. Some movies are totally different from the novels they are based on.
