I think it really depends on your priority and all the related issue as well . Such as : finance, time and vacation, is the relationship close enough for you to make you attend such a wedding, jet lag after more than 19 hours...

Is it your idea that "the more you spend", the better the photographer will be? My cousin is getting married TONIGHT, actually, and paid 2K ($2,000) for her photographer! I find this to be a ridiculous amount.
