These wooden bicycles are ridden in the Banaue region of the Philippines. During an annual festival celebrating the culture of the regional tribes, wooden bikes are raced by participants in native costume. Notice the cool foot-activated brakes. Thunder Alley at Rolling Thunder

Rolling Thunder is held every Memorial Day weekend, the Sunday before Memorial Day is observed, in Washington, DC. The run forms up at the Pentagon and goes over Memorial Bridge past the Vietnam Memorial. It is a run for POW/MIA (prisoner of war/missing in action) awareness. If you like bikes, come see it. One year we had over 600,000 bikes registered for the run. It seemed there were almost as many there as support and as onlookers. It is beautiful!
