Good Plastics

When I was young I was taught in school that plastics were harmful to the environment but this one has caught my attention. It is a plastic bag for shoppers in SM,Philippines that is marked "BIODEGRADABLE". I don't know how they make their plastics but if it truly decomposes then I encourage other shopping malls and stores to do the same and do their share in saving Mother Earth too. Now There's no more excuse for fans of the more durable plastic.

a horned owl

are you familiar with the call of the barred owl he calls "who cooks for you, who cooks for you, who cooks for youall" I wonder if the horned owl has the same hoot. Not our favorite creature around these parts due to raising poultry... but I digress. Do you remember that commercial of the 70s with the catchy little ditty:"Give a hoot, don't pollute, never be a dirty bird - in the city or in the woods, help keep america - looking good!"
