Curly hair in the summertime

So i was "blessed" with curls as my mom likes to put it. But i must be the only curly haired person who hates curls! It frizzes easily and the winter months creates a mini war in the texture. The things i do to it every month to make it straight is crazy, straight perms, flat irons, blow dryer, round brush, items i could not do without (i tell myself)...
