Salad from our First Garden

Here is the first salad we made from our first garden -- leaf lettuce, scallions, green onions, hosta leaves, dandelion green and flower, parsley. Tasty and tender.

These are some of the salad ingredients we picked from our garden. It is actually from a thinning of the garden, but we have used edible hasta leaves, dandelion green and flower, green onions, scallions, parsley and leaf lettuce. All grown in our own yard.

I have already cut a lot of chives and have some garlic chives also coming on. Parsley is very slow but will now grow much quicker. When I have more chives, spring onions and parsley ready than I can use I chop them up and put them in the freezer. I still have some from last year.
