In the course of time, several hotels, resorts, inns and restarants have mushroomed within the area. Upon arrival, visitors board any of the waiting bancas that ferry passengers across the sorounding waters and into the various resorts dotting the coastline.
This coastal town is well known among tourists for its numerous pocket beached and many snokeling and diving spots. The area was designated a Man and Biosphere Reserve of UNESXO in 1973 and has some of the most diverse coral reef diving in Asia.
Among the famous beached in Puerto Galera are Sabang Beach and White Beach, which have an active nightlife with numerous bars and restaurants. both beached also have an array of first-class and econom-class accomodations.
