ParaTed2k For a new car it isn't out of the question for people to get loans as long as 5 years. It keeps the monthly payments affordable for them, but makes the total they pay pretty ridiculous (in my opinion). They usually never go the full 5 years, but just trade...

ParaTed2k Yes, in many areas the cost of housing is really high. My daughter lives in the Chicagoland area. She pays about as much for her 2 bedroom apartment as my wife and I pay for our whole house and yard. So much of what they pay is covering the cost of taxes too....
