cowgirl2701 @cowgirl2701 (2079) • United States 6 Dec 06

This is my first Grand daughter. I plan on buying her lots of presents. My daughter seems to think that she doesn't need many because she is to young and doesn't understand. I think we should get her lots of them. All things she...

medako My son was 11 1/2 months old at Christmas and between all of the grandparents, aunts, uncles, Santa, etc. he got PLENTY of toys. Does he need them all right now? no. And that's why I've put a majority of them under his bed for now. I've decided to slowly...

Nursing a 8 week old baby

laurawarde @laurawarde (388) • United States 15 Dec 06

I have an eight week old son that is nursing. He gets 2 oz supplemented formula a day during his fussy time. However, I cant get him to stay awake long enough sometimes to eat a full amount. Any suggestions or ideas? When he...

medako Like has been said, it's very common for babies to fall asleep while eating. They become relaxed and in a safe, warm environment. For the first few weeks/months it's pretty common to feed on demand, even if it's every hour or two. They'll eventually...

medako during. By saying "after", I think divorce. While couples tend to get comfortable with each other and let the romance slip to the side sometimes, it's still a great feeling knowing that you have that soft place to fall. I would never want to go back to...

Right now she is cleaning her bedroom floor. Thanks in advance!

medako * emptying the dishwasher (even if it's only silverware she's helping with) * setting the table for dinner * feeding/watering pets * dusting tables and shelves * general tidying around the house * making the bed hope that helps some.

medako I think what's fair is what works well for you. I'm a stay at home mom now, but even when I was working my husband and I have always put our money into a joint account. What's mine is his and vice versa.

Washing Dishes

Penguinsangel @Penguinsangel (3498) • United States 21 Dec 06

Do you hand wash your dishes or are you lucky enough to have a dishwasher (the machine, not someone else)? I am unlucky enough to have wash dishes by my hands. Icky. I get so sick of doing the freaking dishes. lol

medako I wash all of our dishes by hand. It's by far my least favorite chore! I've tried doing them after every meal, do them as I dirty them, and letting a full sink (and then some) stack up first thinking maybe I'd find a better way so I didn't hate it so much....

medako what works best for me is to make ONE trip to the store a month (wal-mart). I get what I need for the entire month and avoid all "I'll just run in to pick up xxx" trips. A simple trip into the store for a gallon of milk can easily turn into $20 or more...

medako We put our tree up the Saturday after Thanksgiving - a fake one. I have a small child and don't want him to be eating a real tree...and the convenience of a fake tree can't be beat.

medako I really don't like doing dishes. I'd pick almost anything over doing dishes. Oh, and mopping. I'll sweep, I just hate to mop. It's so messy.

medako I generally like eggnog, but this year I got some and it just seemed a little too thick and rich for me. Maybe I'm losing my taste for it. But, I did make some very yummy eggnog cookies last week - I think that's how I'll use the rest of the carton.
