Don't Be a Grouch

much2say @much2say (57673) • Los Angeles, California 25 Nov

Grouch. So many are grouchy these days . . . what a grouchy world we live in . I found this children's book in one of those Free Little Libraries. How To Be a Grouch. It's "written" by one of our most...

Some Do, Some Donut

We went to an annual board meeting at our local library. Our zumba instructor (who would not be attending) wanted us to show our support to hopefully convince the board that our zumba class was worthy of being included in the...

I Hate Weeds!

much2say @much2say (57673) • Los Angeles, California 28 Apr 25

I hate weeds ! I have been plucking out endless weeds from our yard and am not anywhere near done. This, of course, has taken me away from my myLot time . . . so I hate weeds even more. By the time I actually...

Everywhere I Go . . .

much2say @much2say (57673) • Los Angeles, California 24 Feb 25

I am not kidding that everywhere I go, "somebody" recognizes me. We joke about it in the family, but it's true. I don't even live in a small town where everyone knows each other. I will walk in a public area, like a store,...

I had to change the title here to fix the words "Cla$$ Clown"

much2say @much2say (57673) • Los Angeles, California 3 Feb 25

My mom and I take a tai chi (Chinese form of exercise) class for seniors. I would think that adults who take an exercise class do so because they actually want to workout their bodies. There is Karl - an older man we met who...

Bell Pepper Love

much2say @much2say (57673) • Los Angeles, California 31 Jan 25

I grabbed a red bell pepper to prepare to cook. It was odd that something was rattling inside of it . When I cut it open, this cute, little "heart" came out ! I felt the love...

Unexpected

much2say @much2say (57673) • Los Angeles, California 2 Jan 25

Last year, my mom was agreeable to taking senior tai chi classes (if I take them with her). Benefits would include having a routine for health, but I also thought it would be good for her sociability. Two office ladies who...

Party Girls

much2say @much2say (57673) • Los Angeles, California 30 Dec 24

The little park where my mom and I take tai chi class has parties for seniors throughout the year. I have tried to encourage my mom to go (and I would go with her), but her typical answer was "nah". A holiday potluck was...

much2say @much2say (57673) • Los Angeles, California 9 Dec 24

No, I'm not a gambler . But we are jokingly "betting" that a good friend of mine will cancel our coffee get together this week, AGAIN . She does this ALL the time - ask any of our mutual...

It's NOT Monday!

much2say @much2say (57673) • Los Angeles, California 17 Nov 24

I must be going out of my mind . Last night I had my usual so-so sleep. My mind was racing with what all I had to get done today. Monday. Hubby goes to work, kids go to school, I have my various errands and...

A cashier at a particular grocery store I go to is the nicest guy you'll ever meet. He is an "older" gentleman - always so chipper and polite . His line is often the shortest . . . it's NOT because he's fast....

Honest Writing

much2say @much2say (57673) • Los Angeles, California 12 Nov 24

My friend was once a part of the online dating scene. She was quite conservative though. She'd try to get to know men through much back and forth email communication before she'd even consider meeting them. Good strategy, I...

MIL and Memory Care

much2say @much2say (57673) • Los Angeles, California 20 Sep 24

My mother in law (MIL) was recently moved to the memory care wing of her ritzy senior living complex. It's not so ritzy there. Her memory issues had been worsening, but still she is very much aware and doing better than many...

Feet on the Kitchen Table

much2say @much2say (57673) • Los Angeles, California 19 Aug 24

I don't recall my parents ever teaching me this, but I know not to put my feet on the kitchen table. Besides it being bad manners, it's just gross. One year, we went to Thanksgiving at my sister in law's house. After the table...

Sending thoughts . . . Telepathy?

much2say @much2say (57673) • Los Angeles, California 1 Aug 24

The other day the kids and I took a drive. We happened to pass by Hubby's old workplace from over 30 years ago. I pointed it out the building to them which by now was occupied by another business. It was a small side note to...
