Books In The Bathroom

Arthur Chappell @arthurchappell (44572) • Preston, England 3 Jan 17

A lot of my friends have a stash of light reading material in their bathrooms. This is so they, and guests can have short stories, comics or comic strip collections to leaf through while using the lavatory or a bath. Personally I...

Jo Ann @akalinus (44272) • United States 21 Dec 16

A Florida mom has been charged with manslaughter for the death of her newborn child. It turns out that this was the second time it happened. Social Services and doctors warned her not to co-sleep. I know a lot of people do...

Staying in on New Year's Eve.

My Money Cottage @mymoneycottage (47) • United Kingdom 31 Dec 16

Anyone else? We're more than happy to stay in. With 3 children we rarely get a night out together any more but to be honest I wouldn't change it! I used to enjoy New Year's Eve being out and soaking up the atmosphere (and the...

much2say We might be out for a bit during the day, but at night, we will most likely stay in as well. We have 2 kids too - it'll be nice to just be relaxing at home - cozy and safe. Yah, before family, we used to go out with friends to some bar - eh, but no desire...

Jo Ann I don't know what my son will do but I am not going anywhere. There are a lot of drunk and crazy people running around on new year's eve. It is safer at home. I can see fireworks out my window. They are illegal but there are a lot of them all around.

Sorry, but my jaw hasn't dropped

Nick R Thomas @asfarasiknow (3322) • Bournemouth, England 23 Dec 16

I keep seeing ads on here with titles along the lines of 'What so-and-so looks like now will make your jaw drop', 'What happened next will make your jaw drop' and so on. Now, maybe I'm just an old cynic but none of these things...

Do you make New Years Resolutions?

Scott @scottcoleson (579) • Pilot Mountain, North Carolina 30 Dec 16

It is hard to believe that 2016 is almost over! This year has flown by to say the least. To be completely honest, I am so ready for this year to be over. There have been some high points for this year, but more than anything else,...

Good morning, well just. It’s almost noon here in the UK as I’m writing this, just 36 hours to go to the start of a New Year to which I’m looking forward to. 2016 has been a good year for me, it’s had it’s up and down like most...

More Snow This Morning

Marlina @marlina (153769) • Canada 29 Dec 16

Mother Nature is doing it again. She decided to send us more snow, just what we didn't want. She is a stubborn one! We told her No Snow. Are you experiencing a lot of snow this season? Or are you under the normal? I used to love...

The lull between Christmas and New Year

My Money Cottage @mymoneycottage (47) • United Kingdom 28 Dec 16

It's that odd time now when Christmas is kind of over and we're waiting for New Year to arrive. There's still lots of food left over and the decorations are still up, but it kind of feels like an anti-climax right now. I've been...

Arthur Chappell @arthurchappell (44572) • Preston, England 29 Dec 16

Just a few days left of the year now and death claims another much loved movie and music icon, Debbie Reynolds, mother of Carrie Fisher who died only yesterday. So sad. For me, it has been a very quiet day in, proof reading...
