During his last campaign trail he visited my town as well. When it was all said and done and he left we were still holding the bag we had to pay our local police for additional security, the blocking of roads that the president...

playswithfood I feel bad for any locale that has to host a presidential visit. After spending some time living in DC and having to wait through a presidential motorcade, I know how much of a pain it can be!

I guess it's safe to day I don't suffer from an Internet addiction, because I was able to handle 2+ weeks without cable (meaning, no TV or Internet) after an 1100 mile move! Good news though, today, after several false starts,...

Imagine that you are too late or beyond schedule time for an appointment. The last option is to break traffic rules, executing U-turn or even park your car in the street illegally. The possibility to be caught by a police officer,...

playswithfood I will speed fairly regularly, but that's about the only 'traffic rule' I ignore. I use my blinkers religiously, never change lanes under a traffic light, always come to a full stop, never run red lights... This could be why I've never gotten a traffic ticket...

playswithfood Almond milk is a non-dairy milk that is okay for folks that are vegan or lactose intolerant. It's made from ground almonds.

A lot of people here know that I am a cashier. Sometimes I really hate it while other times I feel rewarded. Sometimes I see people I haven't seen in years, while other times I meet new and intersting people. Sometimes I treat...

playswithfood I was a cashier for a long time (5+ years), myself. But I actually enjoyed my job, most of the time. Most of my customers were repeat customers and we built up a rapport. Lots of joking and silliness at my register, many of them even gave me cards or presents...

playswithfood I'm a pretty big fan of milk, too. I usually drink either 2% cow's milk or non-dairy almond milk. Coconut milk is pretty good, too, as a base for shakes... don't really like it by itself.

I can get 3 for the price of one, this is from our cat rescue people, these cats are well taken care of and have had great Vet care. The only draw back is they are all black, it seems black cats are not that popular and so there...

playswithfood I love my two cats! They were a two-for-the-price-of-one deal at the shelter because they were litter mates and had bonded so separation would have been bad for them. If the 3 cats you are looking at are litter mates and have been together for a long time,...

playswithfood Maybe in the professional world men are better in the kitchen, but I know in my house that's definitely not the case! If I wasn't here to cook for my husband he'd be preparing all of his food in the microwave! I think he's managed to make grilled cheese or...

I love drinking fresh cold water on a hot day.. especially when you're just done exercising and you're so sweaty.. But anyway, I was wondering... does water have taste? I mean I sometimes find it yummier than other soft drinks.....

playswithfood Pure water has no taste. However, when you are hot or dehydrated it can be very refreshing and because it's going over your tongue you could perceive a delicious taste. Also, impurities in the water can cause it to have a taste. Chemicals, minerals, sediments,...
