Bolt, a fun family movie!

Well, I went to see this yesterday. The roomie didn't want to go because it had John Ravolta, I mean Travolta, in it and Miley Cyrus.
Well, I wasn't too sure myself, not being a fan of Ra.. Travolta's and thinking that Miley is a bit over hyped.
I had thought that she was playing the cat, but it turned out she was playing the little girl.
So, you have Bolt, the dog, who is the star of a tv show, but it turns out that he really seems to think he has the super powers seen in the show. Then, one day, after a particullarly cliff hanger ending, Bolt escapes his trailer and ends up getting shipped from Hollywood to New York City.
On the way back, he talks to a LOT of pigeons! He captures a cat, who must be in league with the evil green eyed man, Doctor Calico, and has his person, Penny.
Mittens, the cat, learns that he thinks he's this super dog from TV, they run into and pick up this hamster, Rhino, who is a whole different class of hamster!
Finally, it comes to Bolt he isn't super, but then he decides they have to go rescue Mittens from the pound, in probably one of the best scenes in the movie - well, it is part of what they LOVE to show on TV, so I'm not really giving much away with that.
They end up friends, and then Mittens has to teach Bolt how to be a dog.
There are some very touching moments. Not being very good with voices, I could forget that was Ra...Travolta doing the voice of Bolt. I really enjoyed the movie.
And, if there isn't a Waffle House chain like in the movie, there ought to be!

I bet hubby would enjoy it. He always tells me that he does not like movies with animation and talking imaginary animals etc. He likes real and natural things.
But he ends up laughing his head off at things like you just described.

i had seen the thriller for this movie. and i am looking for it here in the Philippines. and i guess the said movie is having great comments too. and most of all, i love comedy movie!!..

Good lord, there are so many Waffle Houses in this country that it ought to be outlawed. They aren't always the cleanest restaurants in the world. 
I heard Bolt was a really good movie. I hope with the Thanksgiving holiday here coming up, that it will continue to do well in theaters. Someone said the funniest thing in the movie was the cat, Mittens.

J.Travolta,I do like his acting.He also grew up in the nest town over.Miley,I know she is famous,I have never seen her movies.
But,lol,the dog takes the cake.Those type of movies,I love!! TY

I know Miley is "Hannah Montana" and I was watching news at mom's one morning and got to see her sing, she is pretty good.
I think the thing that bugs the roomie about her is the fact that there's this one sicko she knows on line that likes her so much she thinks its dangerous. Now, since he's safely parked away in another part of the country I would guess he'd never meet her, but its really turned her against Miley. I don't think she should blame the gal for the sicko.
And since she voices a young teenage girl in the movie I think she was well cast.

[b]Blair. Blair Sandburg is--at least in fanfic, & I think almost as much in the show--the brainiest little guy. And you're right, sharp brains are sexy!
That said, JT has gotten a lot better since he's matured, both physically & in his craft.

I just loved the animation movie Bolt, it's about a dog who believes that he really has the powers in real from the television series he is acting in and when he goes missing and the dog realizes who really is ...
The movie is just amazing, with John Travolta voice for the dog it was just the right match ...

I was thinking of going to see this movie but I'm not really a fan of Miley Cyrus myself. I think she's okay, but doesn't have nearly the amount of talent you would think she had from all the talk about her.
It definitely sounds cute. I think I'll wait for it to come to HBO though since time flies so fast these days that will probably only seem like a couple weeks to me.

Sounds like you had a lot of fun. Right now, money is tight, but when it isn't, I think I'll rent it. Hopefully, by the time it can be rented, money won't be tight.

It sounds good!! The kids and I are excited to go see it. my husband is to although he won't admit to it. It seems like alot of fun.

That sounds like a whole lot of fun but unfortunatly, we don't have Bolt the TV series or the movie, her in UK yet, but I will watch out for it when it does comes over here.
