Iknow many of u like the time change but i never have. I hated it when i still worked. I set my clock up in my bedroom early yesterday so i would be on time for sunday school this morning & i was afraid i'd forget it last night. Well, sure enough i thought of it just as i was going to bed so waited till this morn to change my other clocks. From the comments i heard at church i'm not the only one who doesn't like it. How about u, do u like it? Guess it's all in my head but i'm too old for changes, lol. whatcha think??

I love it when we change the time in the spring. I like it because we have more sunlight (of course where I live we don't see much sun.) But I agree with you about changing it twice a year. That is a pain, and I can never get the time right on the timer. Then I can never remember how to change the clock in the car. I have to get the book out everytime. I think they should just leave it at this time. Someone said it started to give the kids more sunlight walking to and from the bus. Now most people either take their kids to the bus or it picks them up at their home. I have also heard that it gives farmers more sunlight to do their work. Keeping it this way all the time wouldn't hurt them I wouldn't think. I don't understand how some states can not have to change their time and some areas do. It should be all or none.

hi antique lady yahoo I got my computer back on the net. we had a power outage here and now all the lights in gold crest are half mast . I had to reset the modem and router to get back on the net. My roomies radio and clock won't work though. not enough power. oh I do hate daylight savings as we lose an hour of sleep and we are already gottenup at the unGodly hour of 6am. wow we had our lights off again for a good half hour so had to reset the monitor and the router again. thank goodness it worked. whew. wonder if daylight saving time had anything to do with it. silly idea.I really really think the idea of it saving anything is to put as my granddad would have, hooey.oh I do love that word.lol

No, it is not all in your head. It is hard on people who are so clock driven. If we did not run so much by the clock and just got up and went to bed with the sun we would all do better, but industry and business cannot work at that relaxed pace. I have worked with small children, large children, adult disabled and the elderly. It is hard on all of them. It is hard on me. I do not like it, to put it mildly. I wish they could put it in one place and leave it. To top everything else off we are having thunder and snow. Yuk

GGOD GRIEF, i AM SORRY to hear about u having snow. I wouldn't care if i never saw snow again. I hope we are through w/snow this year anyway. I am glad to know i'm not the only one who does not like this time. Thanks for responding.

It doesn't really matter to me...it's kind of a pain though. Especially when you lose an hour of sleep as I can't go to bed any earlier...it's like I can't sleep anyway....tonight I'll be tired though...so maybe I can catch up somewhere along the line.

I think the short list would be those who like Daylight Saving time. It was initiated when we were largely an agrarian society so that, ostensibly, people would have more daylight to get farm chores done, & frankly, it's a royal pain, now. I wish we could take a national vote on it! I don't see why we need to switch the clocks; why can't we just get up earlier, or later, as needed? I'm just sayin'... I? "Pull!?" Seriously, I wish that were true; I'd pull for a lot of changes--starting with abolishing the income tax, or at least the way it was designed to (not!) work!--it's a big fat greeeedy MAWNSTER! I dislike it. I always forget when and it messes me up. I guess it is all in my head too but I have never liked change and time is a big one. I am terrible I guess but I like things a certain way and I like to know what to expect. If that changes I may get alittle cagey and irritated. I do the best I can and usually things aren't as bad as it seems.

It does. I like it in the Spring because of the hour but in the fall it just adds to the blah of Fall and night coming sooner. I guess to get one you have to take the other so I put up with it.

Hi Jo Ours is at the end of the Month so we still have the old time here, but no I do not like it either, I do not see any point in it what soever Why can't the times just stay the way they are instead of messing about all the time and it messes your Routine up as well Nope I think they should do away with it

It's just one of those "have toos" I do it because I have too. I change mine early in the night or just before I lay down that way I don't forget. If I waited until midnight as I've heard it suggested then I'd certainly forget. When I worked I did not really like it. I already worked 12 hours so when I had to move it back one hour that made me have to work another hour. Another hour on my feet on those cement floors and another hour without rest or sleep. Well you get the picture. I worked 7 days a week 12 hours a day. That just made it harder. I'd just think about the month we could change it back one hour and have one hour less to work. That helped in my mind. lol

that hour we lost pretty much killed us. all four in our family got up for church after no one sleeping well. after we got home and after lunch, we all had a nap (eve my teenaged daughters!) and we ended up being late for our supper date.

Hi Jo! Yeeeeesssss it's daylight savings time AGAIN. I hate it I hate it I hate it!! As always, it screws me up for about two weeks before I'm able to get my bearings again. Like today, hubby and I were out working in the yard and when we came inside, it was already 7:30 but felt like 6:30. It really messes me up big time. I wish the government would leave our time the hell alone!

i know it is a little boring to do it but certain countries have to do it in order to save light but in india we dont have that kind of thing and there is no need to change the time and no need to remember the day when we need to change the time. but summer has arrived so be happy and enjoy the summer with all the jackets and warm closets thrown away.

I really dont know but while growing up even in certain games i usually see this daylight saving time thing. What exactly is that? I dont have a clue. I have heard it in shows and on the internet, seen it on my phone as well as my laptop and desktop settings and up to this day i dont know what it actually is. Please could you advice me on what it is? I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Thanks for responding, Renhard. In the spring we have to set our clocksahead forone hour. It gives u more daylight at night. It's just a pain to me. It throws off when u get up, when u go to bed, when u eat etc. It is nice to have more daylight but it's not worth the trouble it causes to me. Days are longer in the summer to start with. In the fall we will have to set our clocks an hour back.

It has never made alot of sense to me either. It just gives u daylight longer & people i guess enjoy that. I think it just changes everything up & about the time u get use to it it's time to change it back. I wish they would leave the time alone here like they do i your compamy.

So if you are going to set it one hour later in the spring and then change it back in fall, what sense does that actually make. I am getting to think how that actually came about. At different period through the year I notice That the sun comes up earlier and other times very late. I guess that is why you have to change the time. Am i wrong or right? Your country is trying to match up the time with the sun. Well if its like that then I would have to say that in my country we leave the time as it is right through out the year. When the sun starts to come out earlier, we wake and go to work/ school as always. Same for when the sun start to come out later.

I don't like it either. I was on the computer until about 2am and was getting ready to go to sleep. I stepped away from the computer for a few minutes and when I got back and checked the time, it was 3am. I looked at the clock on the microwave and it still said 2am. It was then that I remembered and I posted a discussion right then.

I never have cared for Daylight Savings time but we have to deal with it! I always change my clocks back before I go bed. It is the best way for me to remember to do it. This year Daylight savings really messed me up! I was so tired by the end of the day and I had trouble getting to sleep that night! I was wiped out yesTerday! I don't remeber it that happening before! I sure it happened to others besides me!

To me it is a necessary evil. 1 or 2 days of adjusting and then sooo much more daylight! I guess because I work until 7 or 7:30 pm every day I enjoy being able to get home and have it be light outside. I would like to make one request to the daylight savings people. Why not do it on Friday night into Saturday morning? That way (for most of working America) you have 2 days to get used to the new time before you have to go back to work. That way, you are sleepy on Friday night because you worked all day, so you change the time going into Saturday when most people can sleep in anyway... just a thought for the powers that be.
