Not even my NetFlix queue...
So for several years we had been renting movies throught NetFlix. And usually we have a pattern, kid movie, adult movie, kid movie, adult movie. I manage the queue, and if the kids want to see anything on there, they tell me.
The times, they are a changing.
Dearra wanted to add a movie, so I did, and when she complained that it was at the bottom of the queue, I handed her the laptop, and told her how to move it up.
Big mistake.
Next thing I know, she is examining the queue from top to bottom.
"Mom, we have that one on DVD." delete
"We watched that one on the Disney Channel." delete
"Why is this boring thing on here?"
"Hey, don't delete that, I want to watch it!"
Life is never going to be the same....

I love Netflix! I have been with them from nearly their start. You used to be able to put up another queue. I did that with my grandson so he could have his own. Let them/her have their/her own, or her her own, and then yours won't be bothered and you both can see what you like. If you don't want to mess with new passwords and such just don't tell them/her and create your own new one for your self. That's what I would do.

Fine, if she can pay for it. That won't be happening for a while yet....

That's kind of funny.
We do the Netflix thing.. and we get DVDs and watch a lot of the instant movies through the PS3. Well, the 4 year old has figured out how to watch Netflix movies on the PS3. This messes up the "suggestions for you" portions because he seems to watch more Netflix than anyone else, so all I see is "Because you liked Go Diego Go season 1.. we think you'll like these..." The 4 year old has also figured out how to search for things on Netflix on the PS3.. so once in awhile I'll find something on my queue that I know nobody but one of the kids could have added.. like Justice League, Batman.. Diego! I keep a very close eye on my queue and if I see something questionable I have to ask the hubby if he added it or the kids.

ah yes, can't wait until the twins find out how to do this.... Cary will want all Harry Potter. Fortunately the others won't argue with that choice...

The joy of having teenagers! You have one now and someday soon the twins will be! I do not envy people who have children, especially teenagers! I know children can be joy but there is never a dull moment with them!

I was OK with her deleting a couple of the kids' choices. At least she told me first, and why she was doing it...

I agree with you, Netflix is great by the way too.
Hey when she gets older and can pay for her OWN Subscription then she can pick out whatever she wants to watch until then You Pick the movies or take turns.
I'm sure you guys can work something out. Not sure how old your Daughter is but she sounds like shes beginning that age, Where She thinks she has the world figured out and its no longer cool to be seen at the mall with your Mom.
Those are the years, I wont be missing if I ever have a Child.

We do take turns, actually...
She can be quite loud and opinionated. To a point, I enjoy it. At least she speaks what's on her mind rather than clamming up. But sometimes it can be really annoying.

You got that right. She will be maning the queues without you even knowing before long. You better keep you eye on that one

Kids, they are liable to take over the world if we give them any power. Of course, you can go back in and change them around when she is done, as well. It could be the battle of the video lineup.

She's not into that, and neither am I.
As long as she keeps to the scheme (one kid's movie, one adult movie, and her brother and sister get some input), I'm fine with her being in there. I think...

Hahahaha! I bet she did that on purpose - complain about the movie being at the bottom of the queue so she can get a hold of the laptop. Your daughter is so smart. She reminds me of my 20 months old son. When husband, son and I are watching movies together and then out of a sudden hubby and I will start a conversation he would press the power off button. We would both stop talking and look at him while he stares at me and hubby with a look saying, "You're not watching so I turned it off." Hubby and I would always just end up laughing.

Just hope she's not into the gothic/vampire stuff.
