Hi friends! 
What you would do if someone posts comments on your blogs in a language unknown to you? I received an email notification that someone has commented on my article. When I opened the link, I just could not understand anything, as the language used over there was double Dutch to me. I am not conversant with all the foreign languages. I felt perplexed 
and felt a bit disappointed that I just can not read the comments. What would you do in such a case? I am giving a sample of the text; hopefully, some of the learned friends/users here would enlighten me what stated in the comments. Here it is - Arrêter de dire que vous n'avez pas de temps! Car la vie est une question de choix,. I shall be grateful for your advice/views.

It's French. It means To say that you do not have any time. For life is a choice question. I recognized that this is French and then I logged into www.freetranslation.com and I typed in the phrase and got the meaning in English. I haven't studied French in a very long time . I only understood a few words . I hope this helps. If this person writes again. write this Pouvez-vous ecrire s'il vous plait ceci encore dans l'anglais. Which means Can you please write this again in English.Good Luck.

I did not know that it was French. Thanks for providing its translation and the connected website. You knew little bit of French, however, I could not understand at all whether it was French or German. Thanks again for giving hints for counter comments, will post it.

I had one on my site just the other day which was in French and I did not approve it because I had no idea what it said! I don’t like rejecting comments but I need to know their content. I still have it in my trash file. I may contact the person and advise that he or she needs to post in English.

at first, i thought that there might be something wrong with the title. i asked myself, what would be the problem with that? then after reading this, i understood what this is all about.
i had had comments in foreign languages but i could not allow them and i practically write that i wanted the comment in english because i can never understand foreign language. it is a big question to me why someone would comment in a foreign language when the article is written in english. it just showed that the one who made the comment understood english. sounds ridiculous to me.

There was nothing wrong with the title. I could post only an incomplete title, as there is limit to words which could be used in the Heading. What you do is the right step. I understand that she (user) knows English, therefore, she could read my article and could post her comments. I have requested her to post her comments in English from now onwards. Hope she understands.

Exactly! There is no point writing comments other than English, when the original article is written in English.

I don't have any blog so my comment here may not be applicable to your situation. Still I would assume a blog is like a post here, when you get a comment you need to reply back on the comment. And when the comment are not in any languages that you know of, you can just easily reply back asking what does it mean. Hopefully the comment are positive.

You see I did not post my counter-comments on her comments because I was not sure, whether those were positive comments or the reader was criticizing my article.. Therefore, it was necessary for me to know the language of comments and its precise meaning. I now know that these are relevant positive comments and now I can post my counter comments and could request her not to use French as I do not understand it.

I wonder why that person commented in his own language in your blog. He must have probably assumed you understood it. If he couldn't speak English well then he should have done some translation. It's French and i don't know the meaning. I'm sure people can enlighten you here.

It also made me surprised to see comments in some foreign language. I do not know what she assumed or what prompted her to write those comments in French. Now the friends have solved the riddle that it was French and they have suggested suitable counter-comments for her, which I have posted on the site.

I will not get confused do not worry.
Friends here have already provided me the valid translation and even of the friends suggested in French what I should post as counter comment. This is the beauty of mylot that when am in trouble, my friends immediately come to my rescue.

Hi, dpk262006. I think, I may be incorrect on this, but, I believe that someone left me a message like this once. If it wasn't my blog it was somewhere else. I just ignored it and forgot about it. I have seen many languages written on social networking sites that are like this though. It is really confusing because I am not familiar at all with this type of language. Is there a way that you can try to translate this language? I believe that Facebook.com and blgger.com have this feature.

I now realize that she knew English, therefore, she could read and understand my article and posted relevant comments, albeit in French, for the reasons best known to her. well i can use the translate web to try to understand what he stated. and if it is not working i will give him the explanation why i don't understand it and hoping that he an use another language like english and post it again.

I tried to use the translator and it says it is a French language and says "stop saying you do not have time.because,life is a matter of choice"
Well...I will also be annoyed since I did not know the language right.

If someone posts an unknown language to my blog, I'll definitely research on what he said. If I can't find out what that means, I'll politely ask him what that is all about.

I think I will flattered if someone comment in my blog but the comment must be related with the content of my blog, if not I just not publish it. Yes I moderate comment who come to my blog just to make sure no spamer write there,because its gardening diary blog.

You see blogs are kind of entries commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Blogs are interactive, allowing visitors to leave comments. Actually, it was an article, which I posted on a site and someone posted her comments in a language unknown to me. I will write back that she should post her comments in English only, as I am not aware about nitty gritty of French.

This language is French and when I translated French to English it says
"Stop to say that you do not have time! Because life is a question of choice"
surely it is connected to subject of your blog.Let me know if I was right.
Today it is not diffiuclt to translate any language as so many kinds of translators are available online. But first you have to be sure what language it is and for that too you can surf..... as for me it was easy as I work with French, German, Spanish, Russian and even dutch people.

I did not know that it is French, till I started this post. Yeah, the translation provided by you is relevant to the context and is related to my Article. I can understand that now a days on line translation facility is available, however, the same could be used if one could identify the exact language. I did not know that you interact with callers/visitors who speak French, German, Spanish, Russian and even dutch. Many thanks for your guidance, as always.

I have never received such comments. The language used in the site is English and one is supposed to make comments in English. I do not know what made her write comments in French. Our friend Zandi has clarified that it was French and she has given appropriate translation too.

I understand that you are talking about Babel Fish is application, which translates text from one of several languages into another or something else?
