A Shout Out (Feel free to give your own.)

There are a lot of great people on mylot. And I'd like to give a shout out to one of them, and feel free to give a shout out to a mylot member yourself. GardenGerty, Heather, just got a new job after a long time looking for a full time position. She might not be on mylot as much because she'll be really busy. And I want her to know I'm so happy for her, and I appreciate her very much. She came to visit me a couple of years ago and it meant a lot to me. I had been sick for a while, and of course people tend to forget about you if aren't around. And that had happened with my friends, church, and even some of my family. She and her husband made a point of stopping to see me on the way home from seeing her family. I appreciate that very much. She also sent me a book to help me deal with the caretaking issues with my mother. Her kindness has not gone unnoticed.
There is another mylotter I'd like to send a shout out to, but she might be embarrassed if I said her name. So, you my dear, when you read this, please know you mean an awful lot to me too. And my life has been enriched because of you.

Wow this the by far the best Birthday gift I received today! Congratulations to our dear GG!! 
She has been quite an inspiration to me during my own job hunting days. Now I know I can't give up and continue trying as she always says to me.
So my shout out is also to GG as well!

Thank you for the birthday wishes, and yes I am so happy for GG and hearing this wonderful news for her gives me more hope to continue to try. She had been such a caring friend during my time here. I will miss seeing her here but knowing that she is doing well for herself will be yet more heart felt for sure. I am hoping to someday be able to drive up by her since my boyfriends mother does not live too far away, so will continue to keep contact with Heather via email and someday we will get to meet offline.

Kudos to Heather for getting a new job! Awesome! It means a lot when you get to see someone. I saw one mylotter once with her husband and had a great time. I share a birthday with one of my mylot friends. We call ourselves sisters because of this.. and we are very close. I have other friends also who are very special and are also sisters to me. I can't have just one best friend, so I have sister friends. They know who they are.

Oh my it was working fine early this morning then it all went kaput. I was not aware of the friends started discussions until I mysd mentioned it.
I too like the sister friends idea as well.

Thanks HWG! I feel you and Aunt D are like sister friends too... It's amazing how we can get so close to people we have not ever seen. I feel like lots of the mylottians are family in some way... some are like grandmothers, some are like surrogate mom's and others are like sisters and brothers.. and even some are like sisters that don't get along so well, but we still love them.

It would be wonderful to see you, and if you are traveling east, and if Ambie would travel west, (If I am not mistaken, Ambie, you are in Pa.?)then we can all get together at the same time...

Well congratulations goes to GG! I am so glad that she has finally found something. I know she'd been looking and looking and looking. I hate that she won't be on as much, but hope she can pop in every once in awhile. I know she's been an inspiration to many and always so kind!

Actually, it is two jobs, both contract labor so it is kind of on call, one I have done before. I will post a discussion with more information later.

Yes, there are some really wonderful people on Mylot and I treasure their friendship - including yours. Congrats to GardenGerty - I am so happy for her to get a job. There are others whose name I would like to shout out but maybe they would not like it.
It is wonderful to occasionally call to say hello and ask how they are doing. I so appreciate the friendships that I have made here even though my time is so limited these days.

Thank you my friend. God is coming down this weekend so the going is heavy and the politics with my son is heating up. Maybe elections before Christmas so the nastiness has already begun. I pray to keep calm and focused like he has told me to be.
I hate to hear him publicly attacked. He does not do it back to his opponent always treats him with respect but it really hurts at times. I am praying that it doesn't get violent

GardenGerty is a great one to mention as she has been there for me many times. I know her and I have dealt with a lot of issues, but she is a big support when I have needed her the most. There are a couple of others that are around still that have been great as well as you have. Appreciate all the Prayers and support over the yrs. and wish many Great things to come for us all.

I knew that GG, was a wonderful person, but I am so pleased to know the deep connection you both have, and how kind she is! I am doubly thrilled that she has found a full time position...but more than a little sorry that she won't be around as much, anymore..a true loss, but a wonderful new venture for GG!
There are wonderful, wonderful people here, Ambie...you included! So many, winged their prayers my way during my recent "C" scare...which helped to allay my fear and trepidation..."Marguicha" was my fiercest staunch supporter, and I will never forget her kindness!

hi dear Ambie Pam the first shout out will be to you cause you are such a faithful caregiver to your Mom and shoulder this responsibility together with your Dad, no matter whether you yourself have health issues (like sudden migraines and the like).
then I would give another shout out to our friend Hatley with her great discussions and want to tell her I enjoy mylotting and reading her discussions and posts.

hehe i have not really been close enough to any of the mylot sisters and brothers ever since. maybe i have not really tried or made an effort to... But i hope i can be friends with you and your friends here as well and consider mylot as community where we know each other and that we got each other's back.
