The next winter Olympics will be held in Pyeongchang, South Korea. There will be dropped the snowboard parallel slalom but 4 new events will be added. They are trying to draw a younger audience by adding some new events like big air in snowboarding, a team sking event, mixed doubles in curling and a mass start in speed skating. There may even be a more physical contact. The 2018 Olympics, will be attracting tens of thousands of athletes, supporters and reporters from around the world. Will you be watching it or be there to see the Olympics?

I am not watching Marcy. I do not believe I have ever watched the Olympics. I may have watched some ice skating on tv, but I do not think it was Olympics.

I love to watch Olympic games whenever it takes place. However, I may have less interest in watching winter Olympics because there may not be any representation from my country in Winter Olympic.

They would still be fun to watch though but I understand if no one from your Country is participating.

Four new events should be interesting. I usually watch the figure skating and the gymnastics. Should be some interesting media on Korea preparing for the Olympics. It will all unravel on the news.

@DWDavis What an exciting time that must have been, too bad you couldn't have stayed to see those games.

@Marcyaz I spent 22 months in Korea in the mid-1980s just before the Seoul summer games and wish I could have stayed for those.

I will be watching it of course. Dawny enlightened me about them, almost five years ago, and I watch them since then. :)

There's no way I could afford to go there to actually see it! But definitely I will be glued to the TV to watch it. Figure skating is my sport - and as we don't get to see much of any skating throughout the year since they don't show it anymore on the networks - this is our time!!!!

I was never a fan of the olympics. But Korea, well, I don't know. I would never go there. That's for sure.

I like watching sports and champonships and I will definitely be watching the Olympics. I will check the program and find sports that I like in hours that I can be at home. I have regrets that I didn't go to the Olympics when they were organized in Athens. I was a student back then and didn't have enough money to spend on the tickets.
