A Good Father & Stepfather

Wedding

A girl's father does something totally unexpected at her wedding, he stopped the procession, ran to the front row and grabbed her stepdad in order to share the honor of walking their daughter down the aisle. After all, her stepdad had helped raise her said her father. It is one of the most compassionate gestures toward a stepparent I've ever seen and the bride was in tears and overcome with emotion as was the stepfather. The stepdad said he was totally taken aback by her father's kind gesture. He came and grabbed my hand and said: 'You worked as hard as I have. You'll help us walk our daughter down the aisle,. "I got weak in the knees and lost it. Nothing better in my life, the most impactful moment in my life."

@celticeagle Not many would do what the brides father did so you have to give him a thumbs up for being a good guy.

I read about it, and I have to say that it's really sweet. It says a lot about the dad. I hope they all enjoyed this special moment.

It is very sweer and I know how much this must have meant to the step dad to be involved in walking the step daughter down the aisle with her other dad.

That is a nice gesture. But that is something I would never do. Why you ask? Simple, because the guy the ex married is a bum and a bad parent. So, I would eliminate him from any event like this.

The ex married a very nice man and that is why her father wanted him to also walk his daughter down the aisle. He will always be invited to any family affairs.

@Marcyaz I remember watching Don't Tell the Bride and the bride wanted both her dad and step dad to walk her down the aisle but her dad refused was sad that he couldn't put his issues aside for one day... But this story restores my faith in humanity

That is great when a child has two grown men who did right by her. She shows them both love by walking her down the isle when she was older to marry.
