I am Losing My Mind

I am not necessarily losing my mind, just everything else. I lost a phone, and I have lost my camera. Today, at my new house, I lost my new phone. Fortunately, I took my laptop out with me. My daughter-in-law checks facebook online constantly. I sent her a message and she dialed my phone. I had been retracing my steps and searching and was frustrated. I had put it down on a box, then tossed hubby's chore coat out of my way. Right over the phone. Losing things and having to search for them is one of the biggest time wasters there is. Getting organized may save my life.

Phones love to go missing. Lucky you didn't have it on vibrate, you'd have never found it.

I would have eventually found it, it was not buried that deep. I just recently learned how to get this one off vibrate and get a ring tone. I have misplaced the book to it now. Bet I can find it online.

@GardenGerty if it's a smartphone, then @daddyevil can give you tips if you'd like too. He likes to help when he can which is usually.

I hate losing my keys but I seem to do it at least once a week, drives me nuts. I'd hate to think what I'd lose if I had to move.

My mind would probably be the last thing that I would be afraid of losing. I would be lucky to be able to give it away.

I think you have a very good mind and I am surprised you do not lose more with all of your holidays you get to take.

@GardenGerty moving will do that every time, I have been in the same house for 10 years and told hubby unless he can move the house, I am being buried right here.

My problem was that I would put things into a really good place and then would forget where that place was. And I have to date, lost one phone, never to be seen again. Now I'm trying to find a spot for everything so I will always no where to look!

I had once put my phone in the fridge and went searching for it for almost three hours.. I was so tired and came to the fridge for a drink to find my phone sitting neatly on the shelf.

That was a "cool" place to put your phone, @sofssu ! I would never have thought of that, myself!

Hello! @GardenGerty May I ask who your phone's service provider is and what make/model phone you own, ma'am? There is a possibility I can help you with the "book" for your phone.

Good luck on getting organized. It's hard to accomplish and still have time to hang out here, me'thinks. I lost a set of keys we've had of a customer's home recently. I did find them yesterday, almost where they belonged. We have hooks by the door, but rather than putting them there, I missed that row and put them on a hook holding a pot holder, making it difficult to see right away. After searching for a few days I found them there. Glad I found them, as the customer would have been quite upset thinking they'd need to replace the locks or something. We've had the keys for over fifteen years or more. I lose my keys, phone and have lost my camera before, so I understand completely.

I do this all the time as well, yesterday I made my bed and left my phone under the covers and after I searched the entire house, I eventually gave up and decided to lay down and felt my phone under the bed covers lol

Only way mine would be in bed would be if I accidentally dropped it there. I have looked under the bed for it, though.

I'm always losing things, especially my phone which nearly always turns up on the bathroom windowsill (dont ask how it gets there) or down the side of the sofa

I always suspect that the sofa or a chair ate anything that goes missing.
