Perkins Pumpkin Spice Pancake Platter

It was just too much. I have made pumpkin pancakes, and if done right, they are pretty good. These were at Perkins restaurant, and they were made with pumpkin and oatmeal. The pancakes were still a bit mushy, and there was just too much, because they were thick and heavy. I will not be ordering them there again, although I will probably make some here at home. As usual the sides were great. I had sausage links and easy over eggs. Perkins is a great place to get a meal of comfort food, any time. I took my sister to a medical test and she took me to breakfast. I will get something else next time. She had the potato pancake platter and it looked really good.

I haven't had potato pancakes in years, ma would make them and we'd top them with applesauce. Yum ***where's the yum emoji***

Applesauce and sour cream both are good. Would the drool be the same as the yum emoji?

I guess you have to try them once to find out if they are any good. We don't have a Perkins around here, but every place has pumpkin spice everything at this time of year.

I use pumpking in lots of things at home.I think this is just not executed well.

I can imagine that pumpkin pancakes are very heavy, I think too much.

I love Perkins but usually stick to plain old pancakes rather than something more exotic

I liked the multi grain and nut pancakes but they tell me they cannot get the mix anymore.

Usually the pancakes are great. We find that Perkins most of the time is great.

I haven't been to a Perkins in years. There is one in a neighboring town. I sometimes meet a friend in that area, will have to go there again soon.
