This afternoon, Saturday, a friend and I went to the local Iris Show. We'd never been to one before, but as it was free admission we thought it would be a nice thing to do on a Saturday afternoon.
The photo here shows one of the tables of Iris exhibits on display. We were both amazed at the variety of colour and the beauty of some of the flowers. I've really ever known the traditional Iris flowers, so this was quite a beautiful experience for me.
After we'd taken in the beauty of the exhibitin we came back to my home, which was nearby, where we drank coffee and talked for an hour or so.
I find it quite stimulating to do new things such as this flower show. We're lucky there is so much on offer to do here where we live.

I hope @marsha32 comes across your post. Her favorite flower is the iris. She even has some her oldest child got her in kindergarten, over twenty years ago. These are lovely and the colors are so deep and rich.

That is nice. We have a lot of community oriented things to do. One thing I would like to go to again is the Christmas Tree Festival. Many trees decorated by local businesses. It is great.
