A week before Halloween I was at the post office, a normal thing I do several times a week, sine I am selling on eBay, It was just after lunch and the place was full.
Tony pulls out of the parking spot and slowly drives toward the exit, its slow because there are cars in front and behind us.
That is when it happened, this lady gets in her car and does not look back and gassed the car and she crashes into the left rear quarter panel of the truck.
She hit us hard.
We all got out, I looked at her new car and the plastic bumper was smashed in and a broken tail light.
This is how hard she hit us, we have a huge dent in our METAL truck, cracked both tail lights dented the metal bumper and knocked the tailgate over.
Neither thought we was not hurt.
She wanted to pay out of pocket but did not like the amount so she told her insurance. They gave Tony a check for his truck, the lowest estimate.
A couple weeks passed and I had headaches everyday, all day. I went to the chiropractor. Yes my neck was shoved sides ways. Tony was limping but not complaining but the doctor took am x-ray and his leg is jammed into the hip socket.
Now they want to pay us for injury. I should hope so! but I have to get done with treatment first.
This morning I am in pain but I have to go to the doctor this evening. Its hard to work when your head and back hurts but I am managing.
I think I would have to be dead to not go to work, or write at home :)
Now ya know why I am going to the doctor.

I am not that bad but sometimes I hold my head up with my hands to rest my neck.

I think they used to call what you're explaining a whiplash, I actually had one and ended up needing a discectomy because of a herniated disc plus there was a calcium buildup that pressed on my nerve making it hard to use my right arm. It took 3 weeks for me to see a doctor but am glad I did.

I couldn't risk going to a chiropractor @andriaperry that calcium "finger" was pressing on my nerve and a MRI showed it could have severed that nerve, so glad I got that surgery

Those ailments don't always show up right away.

I like that you are explaining to us, but I do not like what happened to you. I am glad you will get some payment for your injuries, but I am sure it is not enough. I am glad you are not hurt worse than this.

Well glad you both weren't seriously hurt and it's just minor. I hope they can fix you up so you can go back to your normal life. People do not pay attention anymore it's sad.

No amount of compensation can wipe away what both of you are going through. Hope time will put you back to normalcy

It is not unusual for the damage to go unnoticed at the time of the accident and show up a few days later. I am sorry you were hurt but glad the insurance is paying.
