A Nice Change

In my post below , i talked about my husband to go ahead of me in reporting to work because he gets impatient waiting for me to dress up. Thus , the week that followed had him going to work ahead of me by 15 minutes each morning . However , this week I noticed he was waiting for me again and we would again go together to work . Usually , we would just leave the dishes we used for breakfast in a basin filled with water by the sink , for me to wash it in the evening . But now , while he waits for me , he washes the used dishes we used for breakfast . Well, I feel happy by this nice change in him . Though , I don’t vocally tell him , lest he will again revert back to just leaving them in the sink .
This morning , my husband was rushing me as usual , since we go to work together . It was just 7:00 in the morning and usually we go at about 7:20, yet...

Actually , he helps when he sees that i have my hands full in doing things at home . And this time , his doing that is a way of killing his boredom in waiting for me to finish dressing up.

If couples are working and they have time constraints, it is always wiser to make use of available time either in the morning or evening. Your hubby is smart now, he does not waste time but instead wash the dishes till you get ready.

@SIMPLYD - Yes, when you are tired after working entire day, when you reach home you do not want to see soiled dishes in the sink.

You might want to tell him thank you to let him know you appreciate it. If he reverts back, so be it, but he might keep it up knowing you appreciate it.

I did tell you he is a loving and caring husband. He wanted to go earlier only to check out that the roads were good, jeepneys were on road and all was functioning good. If not, he could always give you a call and let you know about the state. Okay, here is the silly me again with my detective brain - Now, I think you have given him his XMas present (the wristwatch) or if not, he might be trying out his new tactics to lure you....

It my opinion you should tell him how much you appreciate him washing the dishes. If you do not say anything, then he will think it is going unnoticed. Your husband needs to know when he is doing a good thing. It will make him feel a bit appreciated for his hard work.
