It's Like Murphy's Law or Something....

Sure enough...I have been waiting to hear a actress's take on her popular TV series of about twenty years ago for a long time. I still love the show and watch reruns all the time. She was finally on a talk show this morning talking about just that when what should happen? A ABC NEWS SPECIAL REPORT. Obama has a news conference. Grrr! Okay. Climate and such are important topics. Tax cuts and such. Has this happened to you? You have been waiting for something, finally it is here, and something happens to ruin it for you?

Well looks like murphy found someone else to torment. Back in March my water heater busted and I had a water overflow problem $1200, then my poor ole Mykey took ill and I had to have him put to sleep in July $500 then some Ahole broke my driver window $277. I pray murphy leaves me alone from now on, I'm still paying those debts off.

My mom used to say that things always happened in threes. Hopefully that is true for you. Good luck getting those paid off too.

This happens all too often. It does not matter what is being shown at the tome because the stations decide that you would rather know about what they are about to announce. Of course that type of reasoning is illogical since I chose what to watch in the first place.

I guess they can't make every body happy. If they wait until the next news time people will mad because they waited. Illogical is right!

Isn't that why 24*7 news channels exist? To allow news-watchers stand around waiting for news to happen 24 * 7, leaving all other channels alone?

@pgiblett ...Only so that people who missed it when it showed the first time they can see it. Not to take it off the main channels so regular programming isn't missed.

News has a way of interfering with our lives. I hope they ran the full program when Obama got done talking.

And then the news guys have to rehash what was said over and over again. Like we didn't get it the first time.

happens all the time this time of year on election years. they should have one channel just for that. then if someone wanted to watch it they could. its maddening when they just break into any program. i have taped programs on my DVR only to get disappointed. maybe you can find it on ondemand? or your pc.

Yes, whenever I petsit I always watch my crime shows like The First 48. Except the last few months they have other shows, or different programs on. They change the time of the show but I don't realize until I turn it on.

And it wasn't even an emergency. I don't mind when it is earth shattering news but this was just a Q and A.

The topics you mention our Fearful Leader talking about aren't important. It's just more hot air. Your actress might have actually had something interesting and edifying to say!

It often happens. But we are told about change in advance. By the way, I dont think it is Murphy Laws.
