Do you cheat?

United States
December 20, 2015 8:40am CST
I often think about cheating. I plan out exactly how I would do it. I have all the little details taken care of. No one would have a clue, especially my husband. I am no spring chicken, but I still have a lot of life left in me and sometimes I just want to cheat so badly..... What about you? Do you ever cheat by peeking at the gifts under the tree, or snooping through the receipts after your husband went Christmas shopping to get gifts for you? I am happy to say that I have not peeked at all, after all, I do like surprises!

I love how you started the post here. At first I thought it was about cheating on a spouse. LOL. Well, no, I don't ever remember cheating by trying to find out what I was getting for christmas.

I too like surprises so I won't snoop. It would take all the surprise out of it if I did. Besides I don't think God likes snoopers and I don't want to offend Him for sure.

@AbbyGreenhill Its just like you snoop into something that your not supposed to and theres that eerie feeling someOne is watching you and thats because God IS watching you! He watches each and everyone of us 24/7 and He still loves us unconditionally thats amazing and because of Jesus' sacrifice to pay for our sins all we have to do is believe!

@AbbyGreenhill I love it, but it is not as simple as what I am used to. It is heavy, and you have to change the lenses. It takes great pictures though, and I do have a tripod that I can use if I need to.

For a while there I thought the discussion is going towards another path but I am glad I like to read through the end :). Being cheated on by my ex, I am not a fan of "cheating". I did try to ":cheat" on my boyfriend though by trying to peek at the wrapped packages under our Christmas tree. Since I have two gifts from him and I guess my face showed my desire to peek, the boyfriend relented and let me peek one of the packages without opening it. I saw a zales box and that's just about it. He would not let me have any more peek.

@AbbyGreenhill I don't think it's a ring, judging by the box it could either be a bracelet or a necklace. We've only been going out for a year and plus, we both know that we are not yet ready. I just divorced my ex after discovering the 6th woman he's cheating on me.

Zales - maybe it's a diamond engagement ring? Are you expecting that???? Yes, always read to the end! LOL!

When I was nine until I was sixteen I lived in my step father's house and had a step brother. Each year my step brother would find the hiding places where the adults had hidden our gifts. I was right there with him and we would sneak looks at all the gifts. I never did before that and I never did after that. I think that proves that a lot of what we do is spurred on by who we run with. We may think the thoughts but actually executing them is another thing completely.

I was the 'ring leader' in my house - I bossed my sister who was 9 years younger. Wasn't it fun snooping?

My husband just went to the store and I asked for what and was told none of my business, and know another gift is under the tree. A few things he got I knew of before but most I will be surprised.

I can't cheat cause there isn't anyone here to buy me gifts. No snooping for me . My gifts will arrive on Christmas when the family gathers and then I get to be surprised when I open them

At least you won't have any temptations! When I was a kid my father's family in Louisiana mailed us gifts and we got them very early but we were not allowed to open them so I peeked at every one of them!
