A Blah Kind Of Day

Well, I am still a little worn out from everything that we did on Friday and Saturday. I spent all day Sunday resting, napping, watching TV and reading. Wouldn't you know, the one day when we could just not do anything, everything on TV was reruns.
I woke up this morning and it's raining outside which explains why my feet were hurting me so bad last night. Neuropathy can cause really bad foot pain and although I take medication for it, there are sometimes when it doesn't work. My feet will feel like they are on fire and sometimes they are so tender they feel like they have been burned. Other times I feel like I am walking on marbles.
Today I will probably rest off and on while washing clothes and I should be back to normal self tomorrow. I will try to write up a discussion to post tomorrow about our trip visiting grandkids. I am really behind on notifications and need to work on those today. I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!

@Marilynda1225 Yes, that is very true. I guess our bodies just don't snap back as quickly as they used to.

@simone10 ....Glad you are feeling better. Hope you don't hurt due to the changing weather. I don't do much fun or interesting. Just on here or watching TV.

Hope your feet feel better soon. I have Plantars Facitis and someone told me to not go in for shots for it. Wasn't going to anyway, but she did tell me to wear Crocs. Omg what a difference, from hardly being able to walk for the pain to no pain now in over a year. I wear Crocs all summer long and all winter long in the house. I have no pain. It's like the Crocs healed me. I will be forever grateful. I now own about 6 pairs of Crocs. It was like a miracle cure.

My knees are a lot better, still bruised but they don't hurt anymore. I still haven't written the post about my granddaughters and my brother but it is coming. I just haven't felt like sitting down and writing it as it's a long story.

Neuropathy sounds like something I never want to meet. I hope you feel better soon. It is warm again here in Ontario, the weekend had flurries but no snow stuck. I hope it doesn't rain here but who knows. Today Is my last day to shop. If I can't find it today I'm not going to get it...

I can't remember, what is wrong with your feet? Right before this last semester I started getting pain due to my high arches falling. I had pain from minor aches to so much pain it went up the back of my leg (That day was one of my long days at school, I wondered how I was going to get to class that day)
I notice that when I over do it, my foot aches, but also when I rest it too long, like overnight. Every morning now I struggle to walk until I "hop" around a while and then it feels better. It's like I have to walk on it, but not too much. It totally stinks since I haven't figured out the amount I need to keep the pain at a minimum.
Anyways, back to you. Have you tried turmeric or ginger? I drink ginger regularly, and tried turmeric for a few weeks, and I am assuming it keep the pain down, but it isn't healing it completely and depending on why your feet hurt, this might help.

@simone10 No, I looked it up online and talked to my neighbor, we both believe that is the problem. I didn't see a doctor because I didn't have insurance, though I will by next year. If I do go, I will go letting the doctor know I don't want medications, if there is no natural remedy, I rather deal with occasional pain. I also talked to an online friend who had surgery on her feet, I might consider that option, if it really works.

@Carmelanirel2 Sometimes I wish there was a certain surgery available for neuropathy.

I am sorry to hear that you need to put a lot of effort to just walk. Have you tried switching on the room heater when the weather outside becomes cold.

@DeborahDiane the only relief I can get is to take gabapentin and then use my foot massager.

@simone10 - My husband took some medicine for a while, but he didn't like the side effects. He paces a lot. He says that helps when his feel feel like they are asleep all the time.
