Good old Lasix. Common enough pill. What's it for? It cuts down fluid. Fluid retention in the legs and other places like your heart and lungs is not cool. Your body is happiest when it does not have excess fluid hanging around.
I sit here cutting teeny Lasix pills in half with a pill cutter. The other use for Lasix is lowering a person's blood pressure. I already have medium low blood pressure. Taking a whole dose will spin my pressure down to the 90s. Big oops.
I'm hoping this stuff will help ease some of the pressure in my right ear. Here's to hope as I chop pills in half.

I was taking a similar pill for blood pressure that was also for fluid retention as this one is. Well it ended up dropping my potassium levels to dangerous levels. So I had to get off of this pill. It doesn't happen to everyone. My potassium levels were already low to start I guess, so this didn't help the matter any. I got on another pill for blood pressure and am not taking potassium pills, and nothing for water retention.

I chop big pills in half so I can swallow them more easily. I think there is a pill-cutter you can use, isn't there? Or is that what you're using?

@softbabe44 Maybe cause of my Fibromyalgia I am sensitive to any meds. Even over the counter pain meds make me sleepy! I can take half the dosage- 10 mg per day and not feel any ill effects. And I do not lose water that well cause of the low dose. BUT I have to have blood pressure and the ability to walk without fainting!

Do u have fluid in your ears? I've heard that putting some hydrogen peroxide in your ears can help dry them out. Maybe that will help.
