What the Beep???

Beep...beep....beep
From about 7:30 PM last night until after 3 AM this morning that's what I was hearing. The snow removal company was back clearing the street, sidewalks and driveways in my community. They had two small bobcats that would gather the snow and dump it in various areas around the community. Lucky me that one of those designated spots was next to my house. Living on a corner has it's advantages except in this case.
Throughout all those hours all I could heard was beeping every time the bobcat moved forward or backwards.
I don't know how my neighbors were able to sleep especially those with small children or those who had to get up early and go to work today.
I finally drifted off to sleep after 3 AM and I can feel the effects of a horrible nights sleep this morning. I'm happy that the snow is being taken care of but good golly it's a noisy process.
I'm hoping this second cup of coffee gets rid of my dull headache.

We had a freeze warning again last night s it is still colder than normal here but the warm weather is coming soon.

Nothing new here, it is sunny but cold today.
No beeping snow removers.
That must have been quite awful Marilyn.
I guess they need the beeps sound for safety reasons.

I hope that is it for the snow removal at your place, that would annoy me too. Hopefully now everything is clean and clear and safe for walking and driving on.
I had an early wake up today, our grandpuppy woke me about thirty minutes before my alarm was set-she needed to go outside and use the grass!

@juliaacv everything is getting plowed and the snow is being removed from the street and dumped in a vacant area in our community. Pretty soon we'll see blacktop on the streets again. Guess you'll be at the mercy of your little furbaby for awhile and won't need an alarm as she'll be your wake-up-call

We live in a corner unit, too, but no snow removal here. However, we are lucky enough to hear the trash removal twice a week and the gardeners. At least they have rules, so it is after 8:00AM. Orville wakes me up every day, but is decent enough to wait until 7 sharp!
That beeping is annoying, but at least the snow has been moved.

@DianneN usually there's no noise here until 8 am either but i guess this was the exception so that they could get the snow done for everyone to go to work today. The schools were closed. I think Orville being the alarm clock is better than a blasted beeping

Did you get a lot of snow up where your at? That would be awful to hear that all night long, we live on a corner too but our room is in the back corner so we don't hear much from the corner. Hopefully tonight will be a better night for you.

the lights are annoying too and they were shining right in my bedroom window. The beeping was impossible to sleep through

I do understand the need for the beeping, but there should also be a turn off switch for times like this, the middle of the night when there is no one to actually warn they are backing up.

Maybe that is how those working were communicating

@anneej the snow does need to be cleared and I'm happy that I don't have to shovel it so it's worth losing a little sleep I guess
