Like my mother used to make

I have said before that we have a wonderful market in a town nearby. They have an excellent meat counter. We go there every week or two to buy some good meats. This week they have a sale on roasts and steaks. We got a beautiful roast like my mom used to make. I have not seen them in stores lately. It is cooking now and I will put potatoes, onions, carrots and celery and garlic with it. That will quite likely be our meals for the next two or three days. Not only will it taste good, it will satisfy my memory of my growing up years.

I can imagine a nice roast with plenty of marbling would be good. So tasty.

Some foods and smells remind us of long ago meals and events.

We had a roast pork the other day then another two cold meals from it. It's quite economical if you cost it out so much per serve.

That sounds delicious. We like to have a roast or roast a chicken quite often and get extra meals.

Not often do we find a good roast GG, know what you mean. That sounds absolutely delicious the way you are roasting it. Roasts are great because they do last for days. It is always sad when the last piece is gone lolz

Oh that sounds so good. Once I get over this bug I'm going to make a big beef roast in the slow cooker. The next day I'm going to make pastys

I love to buy a roast and make it. Roasts are really good and you can make a lot of meals out of a roast.

We have been buying meat from Kansas City or Omaha since we have lousy beef in this area.

Sounds like a delicious meal. We try and make a roast at least once a month if there is a good sale on them. Have a blessed day.
