~She Was Offended I Am Not Breastfeeding!~

We went to get pictures done for Julian yesterday. The woman that does them is very nice but she is not very motherly or gentle so I held my breath a few times with certain things she was doing with him.
Anyway, she asked if I pump and that's why he was using a bottle. I said no i am formula feeding him. She said why-(with an attitude)? I said I am not a healthy eater, I smoke cigarettes, and right now its a good thing I don't since I have an infection! 
She said well I don't eat healthy either but I still breast feed. I felt like saying something else but I just said "That's good". The subject was changed thank God but I am not sure why people care so much what parents decide for their own children...
It was just silly to me since it is clearly my own business what I do with my baby.

I have been made to feel that way as well. My oldest was a failure to thrive and even getting her to take a bottle was quite a struggle. My middle one I was able to nurse for a few weeks but I was not able to make enough to feed her so I was the suppliment instead of the bottle being her suppliment. And my youngest I had via c/s and was on pain meds for weeks and did not want to risk the meds going to him.
Everyone has different senarios some people are blessed to be able to be able to produce enough to feed their babies, some can't, and some don't want to. It's a personal choice as well.

@3Snugglebunnies Yeah everyone has their own personal choice when it comes to how they feed their babies. And that should be okay and not looked down upon.

@LovingMyBabies Oh I see. I dont have much knowledge about formula feedung. I know a mother will choose only the best for her baby. So I hope in your case its the best.

How dare that woman even go there (she shouldn't mix business with her personal opinions like that - at least to her customers/clients). Your choice is your choice and it's none of her business what you know is right for you and your baby!

Some people just feel it necessary to voice an opinion even when they shouldn't. What you do with your child is only your business. I probably would have been offended too

@Judyev Thank you. Yeah I don't feel there is any wrong way to feed a baby-it is just preference for mothers.

It is a personal choice you have to make, not her business, people worry about things they should concern themself with.
