It is just a small pleasure, but I certainly enjoy putting on warm socks when my feet are cold.
We have had days where I just wanted to wear shower slides or go barefoot but this morning it is chilly again.
On days like today, I do not feel dressed until I put on my socks.
So here I am fully clothed, typing away. Getting ready to leave for an errand running day.

I wear socks all year round, as I have been doing it for years. I just don't like wearing shoes without socks. That is just the way I am. In the winter, when it is really cold, I wear socks, and a pair of slipper socks over them, and believe me my feet are toasty warm. I have loom knitted myself a few pair with bulky yarn, and they are so comfy, and I have worn them to bed as well. I do wear my soicks to bed every night, as I can sleep better if I have something on my feet, as my toes get cold otherwise, and then they curl up, and it hurts like crazy.

These shower slide type shoes have textured soles inside and give my feet massage. I can wear these with socks easily, unlike flip flops. For sleeping socks are great if they are loose enough. They do improve sleep. That is why many nursing homes put them on the residents for bed.

@GardenGerty I have worn socks to bed for as long as I can remember. I just feel more comfortable wearing them. My daughter thinks I look funny wearing socks in the summer, but that is okay. I am going to wear them anyway, as she doesn't live here.

I got me one of those light weight infinity scarves this year. It feels so soft, and will not fall off or get caught on anything. I will wear it around the house. If I do not double it then I can wear it down long and warm my hands in it.

@GardenGerty That sounds lovely and warm. I wear fingerless gloves in winter and can even type in them as this room doesn't really have any heating unless we turn on the blow-heater. I seem to have a bit of arthritis in several knuckles and they don't appreciate being cold.

I hate socks any time of the year GG, but sometimes you have to put them on to stave off the chill.

My socks are not heavy, but they make a big difference for me. I think heat in the floors would be awesome.

@GardenGerty Yes, the heat in the floor is great and it is even more efficient, because the warm temperature goes up in the room.

Athletes in particular like to wear something on their feet in the showers to prevent athletes foot. These have a thick rubber sole and then across the top of the foot there is a wide band secured by velcro. Many sporting goods companies make them. They are a comfortable quick shoe to "slide" into,

I do not have very many fuzzy socks, but I have all colors and kinds otherwise. Sometimes the fuzzy ones are too tight for my big feet.

I have a heating pad type sack that my feet can go inside. Works well for sitting in a chair.

I am a barefoot person except during these cold winter months and then I love to wear my nice, warm socks. I like bare feet but not cold feet

I wear socks in my lace up shoes. I wear light weight socks or nylons or tights with dressier shoes but for a fast way to get something on my feet I will do these slides or house shoes. These slides provide more support for my feet and legs, though.

@GardenGerty I have plantar faciitis so I wear crocs in the house all day long. What an improvement my feet haven't hurt me in over a year. Some one told me to wear crocs to cure the facittis it worked.

Yes I love socks when it's cold and even when it's damp. they are comfy and i actually need to buy a few more at the moment.
