One complaint about the 'new' myLot

It was the first area I looked at when checking someone's profile...tells an entirely different story than just seeing the total number next to the name

@JolietJake You are right, I had not really looked up until now. An oversight, perhaps - would be nice to have that split back somewhere where we can all see it... @owlwings @mylotbugs

They also listen to me when I write!!! The only problem is, I don't know what to write..

Not everyone finds it useful, of course. There is just as much 'classification' as there ever was, if only people would learn to use the tags properly. The tag system is far better and more flexible than the 'Interests' system ever was and I think that there will be significant improvements to it coming soon.

@owlwings ...Then shouldn't there be guidance section for tags along with terms and conditions...will solve the problem to a great extent I think. That could also open up near the "myLot Code" "Add Image" "Tag guidelines" kinda..

@owlwings Just a word from the other side of the aisle... Tags are great (when used properly). But just like categories, they fail when misused. Admin says tags should consist of single words (GAA has a discussion about them). I would rather be able to access a category called 'Been an idiot' than expect everyone to tag discussions that used to go into that category as 'been an idiot'. Yes, there were 200 sub-categories called 'myLot', but that could have been resolved by getting rid of the general categories they were posted under...after all, you couldn't create two categories called 'myLot' under 'websites I visit', it wouldn't let you.

Of course they will! The programmers must be cursing JJ. lol

@marlina put my vote in. I also liked that we could put links to other sites we belonged to in our profile.

@JolietJake At this moment, there's really no telling but it would do me a great favor if you would just clear your favorite browser's cache and cookies then try to login again to see how successful are you at login with the new website. Only then will we be able to know if this problem is just China only or not. Appreciate your feedback on this here.

If it is only China having the problem, then that surely is not something myLot can fix...

Me too but I never used it to that extent.

@vandana7 and I was not aware of this.

I used to use it for that, but I only follow GAA and Bugsy now...but I still use it to decide if I actually want to respond to a discussion by someone. If they have 56 started discussions, no responses and 1 comment, I won't even deign to bother with responding to anything they post.

You can still access the old version right now by replacing with old. in the URL, but I'm not sure how much longer we will be able to do it
