Yoga and Numerology?

Yesterday we attended a writing seminar. The tables were set up for six and my wife and I shared out table, right in front of the presenters with three women. One woman of about our age, we met outside before the program started. She said that her life runs in twenty year cycles and things change for her in those cycles. She has been a yoga instructor and one who certifies other yoga teachers for the last twenty years and is looking ahead to the next twenty possibly as a writer. Besides the yoga career (and a different one for twenty years before that which she did not go into), she is apparently an expert in numerology. I have seen some on myLot mention numerology, I think, but know little about it personally. She was an interesting and intelligent woman. It will be interesting to see if she does actually turn to writing. I study yoga. I know some others here do to. Have you experienced yoga? How about Numerology? I know nothing of that.

@JamesHxstatic Good to hear. I've noticed that writing seminars include yoga a lot these days. I'm not into it- I go there to receive a writing yoga not a body yoga.

@sallypup Ours did not include yoga despite the presence of a good teacher. It was an all day thing though and the stretching would have been a good thing.

Ummm, well she was a participant in the seminar looking for new direction. I wrote about the seminar in a separate discussion. Jacqueline Mitchard author of "the Deep End of the Ocean" was the keynote speaker. Her book was chosen as the very first one in Oprah Winfrey's Book Club and sold over 4 million copies, was translated into 30 languages. It was made int a movie as well. It was a great writing seminar.

Yoga and numerology are two separate aspects. Yoga is more about breathing exercises and control of mind whereas numerlogy is more to do with astrology and luck.

That much I know, having studied yoga for over five years now. It is numerology that is a mystery to me and it seems an odd pairing with yoga.

@avi256 Maybe nothing, except this one woman's interest in both.

I know little of yoga and nothing of numerology. I think yoga would be good for me but I haven't committed yet.

I haven't tried both of them. I am so busy to do these activities but I am open to it. I am familiar with the yoga, but I don't have any idea about numerology.

I have experienced Yoga and I am interested in Numerology. Numerology is the study of numbers, and how they reflect certain aptitudes and character tendencies, it's very interesting.

I have only been to a few yoga classes. I really liked how it made me feel and I try to follow with the TV yoga sometimes.
