You don't get paid to do that at myLot.

I see it quite often. People wondering what pays the most, and how to earn the most, and so on and so forth.
They want to know what they need to do to earn here.
The truth be told, myLot does not pay you for anything you do.
What you, yourself do, is an action.
It may be an interaction to someone else, but it is an action you created.
Reading the FAQ page will tell you myLot pays you for interaction...and interaction is what you receive from other users.
You can't make other users interact; you can only post/write responses, comments, and discussions that you hope will encourage others to interact with you.
Finding your own level of communication, that other users respond to, is your best hope of making 'higher' earnings...but what could easily be the best way is to simply not worry about how much you might earn.
Just hang out, use the site, converse with other people.
The money might be nice, sure.
But the people are what you should concentrate on.
The money can take care of itself, if you let it.

They need to be making friends and getting interaction. That is how to make more on here. People write a discussion and then half the time they don't even comment on any responses they get. It's weird.

I have a lot of friends here from other sites gone bad. I am here to interact with them. If I had to depend on Mylot to put food on my table, I would starve. Lol, $10 does not even pay my internet bill, lol.

Yep. Although I don't always comment on a response (sometimes I just have nothing to say) there are those that never comment back at all.

It's quite a turn-off actually. I mean, for people like me who still have a huge need for money, MyLot earnings will never be enough. I can MyLot all day long, all month long, but it still won't be enough. It will not even meet 1/10 of my financial requirements. This is supposed to be a fun, interactive site. A place where you relax, eavesdrop on people you don't know and let it all out because people don't know you anyway. Ah the beauty of anonymity!

Back in late 2006, I myself didn't have the idea of a 'conversation' and a ton of the posts were one liners. Heck, I got almost 100 responses to a photo and the line 'Have you ever seen a white squirrel?'. Of course, I didn't hardly comment back to anyone, so I wasn't earning anything for it because that was when you got paid for your own actions, not for interaction. So I understand simplicity in discussions from new users, but I had at least read the FAQ and guideline pages and knew what was earning for me.

Hear ye! Hear ye! Ah this is a no-brainer. I can't believe some people still ask about this
Of course, you can post 100 discussions (wait, is there a limit? -- haha I just asked again!) but if nobody pays attention to not even one of them, then you get nothing. I mean, people still don't dig that? But I like that -- concentrate on people. Aww that's actually a nice way of putting it

If you had the time, you could write as many as you wanted, since there is no limit. It does appear some people try to write as many as they can sometimes, which will usually get them ignored after so many...

There are some that seem to post every day about how fast or how slow their bank is moving. It's kind of silly to see it day in and day out from the same person.

When word gets out that myLot pays I think people jump in thinking they are going to make lots of money quickly and not realize that this is a site where interaction is important and not just posting post after post.

@JolietJake You are right here. I saw someone talking today about making so many posts that it was unreal. I am sure there are going to be people that won't even reply to them. This is not a competition but some people do not understand that.

Yep. And they don't seem to realize that making a ton of posts turns some people off, so they start having their posts ignored, and they don't make as much as they could have otherwise.

I always think, when we are enjoying ourselves, writing and reading here, then the earning will surely take care of itself. We just need to concentrate on interacting with others. That's it.
I guess many people expect this to be a fast earning site and hope they can do something to earn even faster.

I only have gotten paid once here anyway. I'm not really interesting in interactions around the clock to make a few pennies here and there.
So these days I interact when I want to. It's much easier.

I think some users come here, and they make a few posts as new users...which will draw a certain crowd to respond to them...and the person sees their bank start to grow. And then they just start posting stuff without interacting back to people, and after a while, they stop getting responses because people get tired of no received interaction...and then their bank stops growing...and they wonder why they aren't making money.
It's all about that shared interaction. But some of them miss it, somehow.

I don't answer posts like that. You can read the FAQ (if you can find them; I couldn't at first) or you can find out by trial and error.

I think it's a shame that posts go unrewarded and that you can post 20 great thought out posts and get zero earnings if no one responds. But those are the rules take 'em or leave 'em. I am guilty of watching earnings but I am under no delusions of making my fortune. It's a game. The people who start off with how do I make money posts are obsessed with that and the most likely to slam up thoughtless posts just to earn. It's been my experience those are the folks that bring about the demise of writing sites.

I see a lot of posts from newbies asking for our help and knowledge as to how to increase their earnings. As you said, read the FAQ page. When I first started that was the place to go for information regarding the site.
Expecting to hear that magic idea that makes us rich isn't going to happen. What makes us rich are the interactions we have with our friends.

So many people are so desperate that they put others off. The desperation keeps them from seeing how easy this is to just interact.

The problem is that people want to earn good money on this site. The pay is limited. The amount of time to commit is too much for most people. Just enjoy conversing and writing.

You are so right, as they are the ones that help our earnings, and we help theirs. I love the interaction, s I do have a lof of fun, and also, I learn all the time from othes. I have been given advice on several things, and that is great, as I love learning new things. It all goes together, interacting, learning, all while earnings. you sure can't beat that at all.

They were some people who asked me how it is to earn more, some even made experiment guess about it. they thought its okay, but it's not. I don't question or guess the algorithm because no one does. mylot is not something you need on a monthly basis, I used to think of that. but look at me know, saving again, when i could have save when mylot was paying more. it was a deep regret for being able to interact more.
