Ferris wheels are often at local fairs and some can't wait for that time of year so they can get on this amazing wheel.
But, a Ferris wheel is not for everyone. Some find these terrifying while others think they are a snooze-

I am one of the people who are terrified to get on a ferris wheel. I don't like the height of them at all.

I do like Ferris wheels, I think I Like roller-coasters better or the Pirate Ship but I will usually take a ride if one is available.

The only way I'll go to the GC is if I'm at the bottom looking up @BelleStarr

@rebelann I am not afraid of heights but I know that many people are. I found looking into the Grand Canyon a but here stopping but things like Ferris wheels don't phase me.

For me it's total fear, I don't like contraptions like these.

A Ferris wheel is about my maximum ride, but I have always enjoyed them. Wait, it has been years; would I still like it? Hmmm...

I've never been on one and I'm less inclined to get on one now.

When I was younger, my Dad thought it would be funny to rock the one we were in way back and forth and scared the holy crap out of me. I thought sure we were going to flip out and this was while were at the very top (they were unloading and loading new people into a car down at the bottom). So nope, I'm not a fan even today @PatZAnthony .

To tell you the truth, I have not been on a Ferris wheel since childhood.

I used to love all kinds of rides - roller coasters and ferris wheels - I feared none of them and enjoyed the thrill of riding any of them. I don't know if it's age or if it's just that I feel I have more to lose in my adult life - but I don't get as excited about rides anymore. Last time I rode a ferris wheel - at the county fair last year - I had weird thoughts of falling off - I was so relieved when we finally got off!!

Somehow I picture the wheel just rolling through the countryside!

@PatZAnthony Wasn't that in a movie? I would freak out if that happened!

I love ferris wheels - they are quite slow and the view from the top can often be spectacular

I've never been on one and judging by what I saw I wouldn't want to ride in one.

I'm so scared with this kind of ride, also roller coaster and the likes.
